Check out songs from the live 1972 concert, Ladies and Gentlemen: the Rolling Stones. They were in their absolute prime in 1972, 1973.

The Osmonds performed like a barbershop quartet before they hit it big. They use to perform at Disneyland in '60s as a barbershop quartet prior to becoming big pop stars.

To be frank Linda Ronstadt did a better job covering this. She showed her rock side, it was terrific.

I loved this song when I was a kid, when I was a teenager, when I was an adult, and when I turn 65 next month. And most of all, I loved your reaction !

I totally get the Kate Bush comparison. They are both extremely artistic and loved using theatrics and story telling in videos and songs.

The song is so associated with Jimi that a lot of people don't realize it's a cover of a Bob Dylan song.
@jenniferfoster16926 сағат бұрын
True! But Bob now considers it a Jimi song. He took some of the changes Jimi made and incorporates them into his version now, and he said when he plays it live now, it feels like a Jimi Hendrix homage.

Lou Reed has a huge catalogue. I would suggest Dirty Boulevard, Caroline Says II, Berlin, Satelite of Love, Vicious, Lisa Says and of course his biggest song Perfect Day for his solo work. He was also the lead singer, songwriter and composer of the Velvet Underground. Their best known songs are Sweet Jane, Rock n Roll, Pale Blue Eyes, Waiting For The Man, Femme Fatale, Heroin, Venus In Furs, New Age and Sunday Morning.

I don’t think I have ever met another person who recognizes what an epic song “Dirty Boulevard” is. Sad that it could or needed to be written but so poignant. Enjoy your day!
