The first part was Freddie’s call and response with the audience. He did it at all their concerts and no- one but him could say Fuck you, and be adored for it. He had a 4 octave vocal range, and there was no one more charismatic than him. That bass riff belongs to Deacy (John Deacon, bassist). Sampling is one thing, but Vanilla Ice flat out stole it and thought he could get away with it. Don’t ever give any credit to him, he deserves none. Why don’t you check out Somebody to Love live at Montreal 1981. It’s incredible

My absolute favorite Queen song is The Show Must Go On. A little background, Freddie was dying from AIDS at the time, he was in the very late stages of the disease when they recorded The Show Must Go On, and most of that album was intended as a kind of farewell, and in all honesty, anyone but Freddie wouldn't have even been able to perform it in his condition. That being said, there's a story that goes with it, in regards to recording it "When Brian May presented the final demo to Mercury, he had doubts that Mercury would be physically capable of singing the song's highly demanding vocal line, due to the extent of his illness at the time. To May's surprise, when the time came to record the vocals, Mercury consumed a measure of vodka and said "I'll fucking do it darling!" then proceeded to nail the vocal line in one take without problems. To this day, Brian May regards this vocal performance as one of Mercury's best." The song was released on October 14th 1991 as a single, six weeks before Freddie passed away. One of the greatest singers of all time, and one of the best songs of all time.

I am not sure you understand the magnitude of what you just heard. That is fine too - we are all children of our times and circumstances. I just wanted to say that. It is also confusing to wake up to that one song you have heard a lot is not the original. This one is the original. Life is much about learning, right? :)

I have heard this song a thousand times and every single time he sings that final plea for you, me and us to give love and ourselves 1 more chance my eyes well with raw emotion. 40+ years later this song is as relevant now as the day it was written. Just imagine what the entire world could together, just today, if left our cell phones at home and used our time to change the world in some small way? If billions of droplets of rain can cause a catastrophic flood, just imagine what a billion rays of sunshine could do.....

Of all the Queen songs out there Under Pressure is one of my favorites. As soon as Brian May comes in I get chills. Freddie's vocals are out of this world. It's my favorite song to listen to other artist's cover live as well. I recently saw the Goo Goo Dolls in concert and they actually closed with Under Pressure and it was amazing. I also love it because I saw a doc where Brian talks about how against all odds that song was made because Freddie and Bowie were actually total divas when writing that song and Deaky had been just playing around coming up with tunes and they breaked for lunch and when they came back I believe it was Freddie who asked him to keep playing what he was playing earlier and John Deacon (Deaky) couldn't remember and it took him a bit to remember but eventually came back with the opening to this song. I love that story and if I'm getting some of the details wrong please someone correct me. I believe they recorded it in Germany in a basement studio and tensions were kind of high to get it right. I just love that because in the end David being the amazing person he was ended up singing it live in honor of Freddie and it's just like, despite the journey they were both gentlemen at heart and respected one another and the craft of music. RIP Freddie and RIP David.

Some background information on this particular concert: This was Queen doing a full two-hour version of their now-legendary Live Aid performance at the same stadium one year earlier, and it was also the last show they would ever perform live with Freddie. That is why there is such a giant and loyal crowd present.

Queen is the best band, and Freddie Mercury the GOAT, for sure👑👑👑👑 There is and never will be another frontman like Freddie Mercury, no way!!! The man is a legend, a deity. Pure, raw, from the gut talent, and the band cared and showed love for their fans, and the fans reciprocate that love. And they deserved all the love in the universe. This, my friend, is real, authentic music and talent, no artificial aid to help improve or fabricate singing, like so many today. There were no autotune, just their real, unbelievable talented voices. No one can beat Freddie at his own game, darling, for he is, still and forever, the one and only King of Queen 👑👑👑
