There is no comparing this version with any other. Sinead's version is BY FAR the best version. I can't listen to any other. I've heard them, and they are all horrible next to this one.

Thats just one part, her mother made fun of her younger sister that she is ugly while she had beautifull hair. She shaved it to support her sister and she cries whenever she sings this song because it reminds her of her mother who passed away. She abused them but he still loved her. ‘All the flowers u planted mama, they died when u went away’ it was hard living with u but i would wanna give it another try’ thats when her tears drop every time.

@@baddboyzoftexas3413 That tear was real. Also she recorded that video in ONE SHOT because she just couldn't do it a second time IF it didn't come out the way she wanted it to. She told the director right now it's a very emotional time for me so we are doing this once and she HOPES she can get just get through it and get this done right. She had just broken up with her partner right before this. Also her mother who she'd a pretty rough relationship with had just passed away pretty close to the video being recorded. So she has said in interviews that's why she began to cry in it. She said after she reviewed the cut~she was like ok leave it as is, cuz I AM NOT putting myself through this song again. So that was a real tear NOT one of those fake tears that some artists have put onto their faces for their videos for effect. ❤

@@nealm6764 that's par de St Cloud, not a cemetery. Prince wrote the song never really explained it but the lyrics make no sense for a death.

@@znk0r Thanks, I didn't know that and thought it was a cemetery. Definitely can confirm though looking at photos. I never thought it was about a dead lover, but I do know from listening to interviews with Sinead that she connected to the song through her mother's death and not through a lover, even though her mother was horribly abusive. I figured that was why it was in cemetery, though i now know it is not.
