When you find someone who can _really_ sing, like So Hyang, you truly can listen to her over and over and not get tired of it. Her voice is so _beautiful_ and her technique so perfect that it is almost incomparable. When and where have you ever heard a better singer? She will tell you plainly that her voice is a gift from God, though she has worked extraordinarily hard to perfect it. She is now 43 and still a true beauty! BTW, her name is pronounced So hYong (as in song), with just a slight h at the beginning.

Hey bro, you are right about listening to Sohyang again and again. I've been doing that for more than four years yet I have not stopped yet. Her singing has brought tears so many times I can't keep track. You can't ever know what to expect when Sohyang sings a song. You are so correct she is singing at the highest level even nowadays. If I have to pick only one song, it is "Everyone". It is Korean gospel like song that came out over 50 years ago by another Korean diva / gospel singer "Yoon Bok Hee". Just like what she did with "Bridge over troubled water", she transforms the song into a true master piece with extreme difficulties. For 7:25 minutes, she goes with a full force ! Unlike other songs, she only sang this song once and it is likely that she won't sing this in public again due to the difficulty of breath control. Vimeo has subtitle of this song, and I guarantee you will cry when you hear it. She may be tiny but has a talent and soul of Patti Lavelle.

Her name is pronounced closer to "So Young" but with a H sound in front of the Y if that helps. Not 'hung' :)

You need to react to 'You Raise me Up" from Immortal Songs 2, even though she was recovering from pneumonia its the only time she sang that arrangement of that song. 'Arirang Alone" also from Immortal Songs and "Everyone" After that she has a ton of songs on the show Begin Again Korea like "I Will Always Love You" and "I Won't Give Up". Try and use Vimeo as most of the Korean songs like Everyone will have the English subtitles. She is 43 now and very much still singing. She just sang the official song for the Summit on the Environment held in Korea. There is a video and a live performance of that, it was only about a week ago. "We Are One"

Please react to her song” Arirang Arang”. Sorry if that’s misspelled. It’s a bit more toned down, but she hits some banging high notes. It is also the unofficial South Korean anthem, hence the “sing along” towards the end, and why the audience knows all the words.
