(as if) the body burning down in the sun got the shade of a tree, like the smile of an angry kid came back on a little cajoling.. something like that is what my heart is feeling now, on the years old wounds, there is some balm applied some such mercy is there in this moment, where was this moment of mine.. now it's in front of me, should I die or should I live a little.. should I kiss joys, or should I cry a little, should I die or live for a while.. like a kite with broken string was this life of mine, today I'm there, whether tomorrow takes place (for me) or not (is not known), was my story everyday.. (he was unsure of how long he'd live) now a new bond calls me from behind, why does a worry for tomorrow trouble me, such a prickle is there in this moment, where was this moment of mine.. now it's in front of me, should I die or should I live a little.. should I kiss joys, or should I cry a little, should I die or live for a while..

It's a movie song , the premise is when the protagonist reunites with his estranged sister , it's his feeling of healing and happiness , of finding a purpose in his lonely life to live the moment of this reunion to eternity . This song is my all time fave of Sonu Nigam , but he's a legend and has a bouquet of such melodies in his kitty , check tanhayi , yeh Dil dewana from pardes and Suraj hua matdham to name a few. For me, Sonu Nigam is hands down the best male singer or vocalist in our time and age out of India. His voice is rich regardless of the range he takes on and he sings effortlessly. His vibrato and microtones are amazing and mimics the style of the great legendary singer Mohammed Rafi. He is probably the only singer who could come close to singing in the style of Rafi. He has been out of the limelight for a while and we do hope to see more of him.

This song was picturised on a character Vijay, who met his family after being abandoned for a decade and a half... his emotions had been articulated in this song when he first sees his sister... Somewhere inside me, there's still some life leftover within ... There's new heartbeat resuming in my carcass... Now I see, I'm not all dead and still living... There's such gravity in this moment... Indian music sounds so divine becoz it's directly connected to Lord . Indian music started date back at 3000 BC. If u want u can check the history of Indian music. The first Indian musical sound was OM. OM is a sound use to refer Lord Shiva. One supreme hindu God. This is a form of art written by our rishis in ancient times. N we proud Indians has preserve our vedas n ancient scripture from where all these are taken n learned. Indian classical music is a different world. If u seriously want to know about these form of art in depth it will take ur entire life. Hope u explore as much as possible. Our music is based more on natural sounding instrument like guitar, tabla, sitar, harmonium, etc. So that we can connect to Lord easily. That divine energy which flows through universe. We indians are proud that no other music in this world comes closer to Indian classical when it comes to connect the supreme energy n also technically. 😌. I listen to music of all over the world . After Sonu Nigam you need to hear the Golden quartet of Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammad Rafi, Asha Bhosle and Kishore Kumar. Only Asha Bhosle is alive out of them. Hear the songs sung by them from 60s to 80s. You'll be blown away.

Bhai you should listen to Sunidhi Chauhan! She is Shreya Ghoshal contemporary and she can go up and down scales and notes! She is very very unique in that she can combine pop,rock,jazz, and belt it out like some top Western artists. Check her out - there are YT videos.

In terms of seniority Sonu Nigam is senior to Arijit Singh for that matter he is even slightly senior to Shreya Ghoshyal and is considered to be the greatest vocalist in leagues of legends among indian artists whom the batch of juniors like arijit and others grew up idolizing.But no matter how much more we like to hear from him,his time in industry has clearly passed and the stage now belongs to the younger generations like arijit singh and others.But in terms of vocals alone nobody beats sonu nigam and shreya ghoshyal period.

Amit Trivedi is one of the greatest composers listen to his songs like Majha from Kai po CHE and Shubharambh from the same movie. And Chaudhary coke studio version which is rajasthani folk music composed by Amit Trivedi. And the legend AR Rahman, his beautiful compositions such as LUkka chuppi, Kun Faya Kun, Gurus of peace, Agar Tum Saath ho, Tum Tak, Ranjhanaa, And many more. Another great reaction mate! Sonu Nigam is probably the most talented singer in India, maybe even better than Arijit but that's a very subjective view and it differs from person to person. Another artist that I want you to check out is Shaan. His romantic songs are simply great. So check him out if you can. 🙏
