I got the Joshua Tree after hearing this song on the radio (new). Their earlier work was outstanding, imo. Have a great day!

The interesting thing about this song is that it’s actually a gospel number disguised as a rock tune. If you read the lyrics they get very spiritual. U2 even performed this song live with a full gospel choir.

Hey sis, Oh yeah, how can u not love these beautiful Irish men. This was inspired by gospel music much like many if there songs. A lot of great talent in these guys. Every song on Joshua Tree is amazing, but really u cant fail with any of there music. Bono's vocals r to awesome alone or with the group. Edge the guitarist is truly amazing. AND, they r just to yummy. Thanx darlin', much love, Peace

Was the 'show' great or was the band great, or both? I ask as a lifelong U2 fan. I have seen the 5 times live with the last being at MSG twice about 10 years ago. I am disabled now so my current financial situation will not allow me to attend a Vegas show. Hopefully they will eventually release a concert video for the rest of us. I look forward to your response. Thanks. @SabiNoSpecialSphere

@@UckU7777 Both. Been to every tour since ZooTV in 92, which was my first concert of any kind. I am also disabled, but able to attend. The venue itself is amazing - the visuals and the sound are unmatched. The band, with Bram on drums are as tight as ever. Ive seen 6 shows total, and they have definitely found their stride like what happens on all their tours. The last shows have been more playful. All the nuances in their play start to make their way in. There is a section of the show that is ALL about the band and audio and it is brilliant. The harmonies and interplay really shine through, and they make a point of it. The show as a whole has the best storytelling and through line of all their tours. As storytellers they keep getting better. I plan on doing a review of the show sometime in the near future.

Great in the 80's and early 90's then they disappeared up their own arses, 'One' is a great tune. They're from here in ireland and were the biggest band in the world at one time but Bono turned into a complete tool.

My favorite song of all time (2nd is Kasmir by Led Zeppelin 8.34 minutes of sex baby). It's roots are actually gospel! The lyrics are beautiful. Girl, you should see them sing this with the Harlem Choir. You wanna have a come to Jesus moment - that will do it

You have very good taste. We need to bug her to get to Kashmir. Knebworth or Celebration Day? I got to see U2 perform this with Lady Gaga in the Sphere. Most entertaining thing I have ever seen. Got a request in for Bad at LiveAid, hopefully it doesn't get blocked. You are even right about Right Said Fred!
