Kate Lott is the high soprano. She's not actually in her whistle register, she is a true coloratura soprano. Most of the group either have or are currently employed by Disney, so they know how to do Disney. The "Princess Medley" is a must.

The best part of this video is Jeremy glancing at Kate and grinning and shaking his head. There is a video on YT of rehearsals where Jeremy completely stops singing and they all start laughing. He is totally in awe from the sound Voctave(especially Kate) is making.

You're correct, this was very early in Kirstin's career. She and Jeremy were actually a couple at the time, but both have since moved on. And yes, this is an amazing performance.

Not your ordinary Barbershop quartet! Wow! You can tell they've worked together quite a while to get those harmonies so tight. The way they start off lower, quieter, then their voices swell to fill the room was just cool 😎! Thanks for the video!

Like everyone else here, I also highly recommend Voctave's "Disney Princess Medley", especially since it showcases solos from all 5 women. "Disney Heroes & Villains" features solos from all 6 men. Their best medley to date is arguably their "Prince of Egypt Medley". Definitely check out all their Christmas works too, especially "O Come All Ye Faithful", "Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame", "Mary, Did You Know?", "Where Are You Christmas?" and "Go Tell It On The Mountain".

Congratulations, Schell, you've just discovered the fourth of the four great a cappella groups (Pentatonix, Home Free, VoicePlay and Voctave) leading the current a cappella renaissance. Each is fantastic in their own right. That being said, if you want some more Voctave, you really need to listen to their Disney Princess Medley which features each of the female singers. And as the Holidays approach, you might want to give a listen to Voctave's renditions of O Come All Ye Faithful, Mary, Did You Know (featuring Mark Lowry, the original lyricist) and O Come O Come Emmanuel/The First Noel/I Wonder as I Wander. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. I look forward to many more reactions.

Well welcome to the world of VOCTAVE! It’s amazing how many people click on this vid to see Kirsten but are blown away by Voctave. The reason is simple, when it comes to a cappella, they are the best, hands down, and I’ve always said it! Why? Because this group is all professional singers who started this as a side gig. Jamey Ray, the arranger, is a music professor at Rollins College, on the north side of Orlando. He arranges each vocal part for each singer, knowing each ones range. Although, I don’t know if Kate has found the top of her range yet. In “Mary Did You Know” she hits a G6 effortlessly. Everyone is correct though, you cannot find a bad song or ever a missed note. They actually sound even better in person, IMHO, which is saying a lot because no group sounds as good in person as their recordings, but they do. New follower here and looking forward to hearing you react to more Voctave. Strap in and hold on, it will be the ride of your life.

I’m sure many people will fill you in on Voctave. They are more of an accapella choir, as opposed to the traditional group. No matter which songs you choose to react to, the wall of sound will please your ears.

The man in the dark red shirt second from the right is the fabulous Jamey Ray who arranges all of Voctave's work. Many of Voctave's members are present or past members of the Voices of Liberty who sing at the American Pavillion in EPCOT at WDW. I heard Kate Lott, that first soprano, last summer at EPCOT and she is as kind and gracious as she is talented. Welcome to the Wonderful World of Voctave!

Love your reaction and the looks on your sweet face!! This is the most glorious, POSITIVE, rabbit hole you will go down. Kate isn't just hitting a whistle note..she is a true coloratura soprano. All of them have and or are singers with the Voices of Liberty at Epcot in Disney World. They truly love each other and have great fun performing together. They put out so many types of music..jazz, broadway ,latin, Christmas,patriotic..etc. The Lion King's Stampede is a very short, but jaw dropping song and their virtual choir version of dear Evans Hansen's You will Be Found, has an assist from people from over 55 countries joining in. They take pride in never using auto-tune whenever the sing.Disney Princess Medley, The Great Movie Medley ( all John Williams compositions) and Oh Come All Ye Faithful are just a few to start with.

HI Schnell. I am so glad that you were able to do this video. This one sort of had your name on it. It is so creatively done, it is hard to describe it. That ending is something else. It is insane . Wow I read thru some of the comments and Jeremy Michael was an ex boyfriend of Kristen's. I think he is gone and has been for several years. One newer song by Pentatonix features Kristen really going off of a riff. It is on "Seasons of Love" , which is from the musical "Rent". Se really do an great improv rife in that. Like in that last musical phrase, many of Kate's notes are only heard as an echo. She started the last few notes in her lower range but jumped up to a high note you could almost hear then to a higher note still that you only hear the echo to when the voices stop. What Kate hasn't shown me yet is a single whistle tone. Those notes she sings, she sings.

Did you catch the beatboxer? No? They don't have one and you didn't even miss it, did you? LOL. So glad you reacted to them. It's a different flavor of more awesome acapella. Try "Great Movie Medley" or any of their Disney stuff. Also, they have some wooooonnnderful Christmas stuff, like "Mary, Did You Know?" with the writer Mark Lowry, or "O Come, All Ye Faithful." Kate Lott is the Soprano. That is not even the highest not for her or a whistle note. She is insane and amazing. Check out the Showstoppers Medley, the Disney Princess Medley and the Great Movie Medley. All are a must!

Yeah like everyone else is saying, Disney Princess Medley needs to be your next one. Pretty much every female reactor (and to be fair, lots of male ones too) ends up melting into a giggley pool of joy on that one.

Schnell, this recording was made when Voctave was just beginning with 8 members rather than the 11 they currently have. There have been a couple of criticisms of the audio engineers especially on the last song that they should have mixed Kate's high notes better. Those high notes drew too much attention away from the soloists. On the positive side, the arrangement was stunning. The dissonant chord being resolved at the end was a masterful touch. Voctave is incredible and they take acapella to a whole different level. As we get into the Christmas season you should check out some of their Christmas music, which is awesome. Their latest Christmas song "Where Are You Christmas" features Ashley Espinoza (one of Voctave's spectacular ladies) and her young son Gael. It is 100% guaranteed to melt your heart. This is why I never recommend this video for a first time listening to Voctave...Great Movie Medley and then Disney Princess Medley....getting close to Christmas....do any of their Christmas videos (Mary did you know, Ol come all ye faithful, plus any others) plus kirstin and jeremy aren't even together anymore so bleh
