The Sultan and his government always look after the welfare of the Bruneians. Government also provide the resettlement for the Bruneians who do not have land. Education starting from primary school to university levels and medical are given free. Orphans, single mother, elderly and handicapped people are given special allowances (money) monthly. Rice and petrol for car are subsidized too. Alhamdulillah, we really appreciate and thank you very much to His Majesty the caring Sultan. May Allah SWT always bless and protect the Sultan and the country Brunei Darussalam, the abode of peace. Aamiin Ya Rabbal Alamiin.

@maeigdanes hello there, thanks for watching our vlog. We rented a car in neighboring Miri, Malaysia, and drove across the land border into Brunei and all our sights visited. There would be car rental services within Brunei too, but we didn’t research too much into the pricing. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for dropping us a comment~ Mr. P has actually replied below, but to echo him, we actually took a flight from SG to Msia, Miri, before renting a car and driving into Brunei. It made more economical affordable sense for us to do so, vs. flying in direct from SG to Brunei. 😆 You can watch the vlog here! @7:14 gardener deserved a raise for such a well manicured park 🌳 @10:34 meat is good, peanut sauce is a tad diluted. Still, Gadong offers a good variety of local food. Unfortunately it was storming as we left and the car q into Gadong mall was too long for comfort. Hope we get to explore again next time.

Gardeners are usually from India or Indonesia. In Brunei they get paid very low salary, it is sad.

@@rayray2076 there are some locals too.. and the foreigners are hired by private companies, hence explains the low salary. Especially Bangladesh, most of the time the work agencies from their own country also tool advantage on their wages

Hello there, Diana. 😊 Yes, we used SGD in Brunei and it's accepted in most shops, including petrol stations. However, as mentioned in my video, do note that the change you get in return will be Brunei dollars instead of SGD.

it is equatorial country, no too hot or cold, currently it is rainy a lot. between welcome to Brunei. Maybe be posted to JIS or ISB. Have fun =)

Hi Brandon, Brunei has an equatorial climate influenced by monsoon systems (Dec - Mar & Jun - Sep), so expect rains in January definitely. Otherwise, the day time sun can be quite scorching & humid - sunglasses & light airy clothing would be comfortable 😀

Hello there! I guess everyone has a different experience despite going to the same country or place of interest. For me and my travelling buddies, we had a good time exploring and understanding the history, culture, religion and architecture in Brunei. Temburong National Park is especially fun for nature lovers too. ☺

Hi Daniel, thanks for leaving us a comment. Traveling and exploring the world is one of the many ways to get to know and learn more about other cultures, ways of living, the nation's people and even religions. It really boils down to what you expect in the country you visit. We did not find Brunei boring at all, for there were plenty of sights and experiences across cultural, architectural, religion and nature. Hopefully you will be able to find joy somewhere else. :)

Hi there. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our thumbnail. As our camera was placed on the ground, we were momentarily squatting down to pick the camera up after taking a few videos. Perhaps this movement could be misconstrued as disrespectful behaviour, and we apologise sincerely if it has offended you or the religion in any way. We'll be more mindful in the future.🙏

@@romendisr1071 would you like to share what type of "posing" is suitable from your pov? No matter how one takes a photo facing front, the "bump" will always be aiming at the mosque? In fact, until your comment, it didn't occur to any of us that this pose was an issue, neither was it our intention to "misbehave or "disrespect" anyone. We are sorry if you feel offended, and we will keep your feedback in mind when visiting other places of worship. Peace.

It's a matter of perspectives...and also what one expects out of their holiday/overseas trip? For us, we remind ourselves to be open-minded and respectful of everything & everyone, willing to learn about the various cultures around the world. ☺
