Brings back Very Happy Memories. I first hit "Lanka" in '91 & visited many times through the '90s, early 00's & think my last trip was 2012. I'm a Surfer, old now, from Gower, Wales. I scored So Many Good Waves in "Lanka", mainly Hikadduwa Main Reef & Arugam Bay. "A'Bay" in '91 was So Goddamn Beautiful. So quite. No electricity. Ah~ To be young again. *Ayubowan* 🙏

That's one big advantage. But I'm not in Colombo anymore and it's getting harder with some people to speak English with. But still much better than in Indonesia 😂 On the other hand I miss a bit speaking bahasa Indonesia 🥲

Compared to indian cities i visited this is heaven. People are great, clean air, clean street, no one begging on the road, no crime wow. Will visit once again love from 🇬🇧

Compared to India it's like heaven. But compared to south east asia it's average. I'm a New Zealander and I've been to many countries including Sri Lanka and India. That's why I recommend Sri Lanka as the only country in South Asia which can be considered as a country @@Haresh_x

Yeah it really looks a bit like candy 🤣 There's even another, bigger mosque. The man in the end of the video (who gave me advises for taking pictures) said that this other mosque looks even more beautiful. I'll capture it probably in another vlog.

lotus tower isnt 100 m , ITS 350M and TALLEST BUILDING IN SOUTH ASIA and 19th in the world, there is a revolving restaurent and from two months , it will have a bungee jumping pad and zipline

@@WildCARLOSappeared no NOT AT ALL. the prices will be fall down soon ...it cost 113M $ to build this tower .80M was a loan invested by china..other 35M was spent by Sri Lanka.so lanka have to pay the loan of 80M .thats why they increased the price...I m hopeful it wil decrease within next year.bcz already 69.3M of the 80M have been payed off back to china as I read. Im absolutely ashamed of our currunt government..

Ceylon was a beautiful country, the best economy in south east Asia, people didn’t complain or told their personal problems, but Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 is a corrupted/failed state, corrupt politicians only care about themselves and become wealthy by stealing people’s money, shame, God bless Ceylon!

@@JavBoo9777 Wow so long. Tuktuk rides can be pretty tough cause of the bumpholes on the street. I will take the train tomorrow to Kandy. Locals said that there are many pickpockets in the 3rd class, but I really wanna drive there to get the local travel feeling hehe

I hope you enjoyed. But please be mindful when you eat street food. We as locals don’t eat from some of the places you eat. Those peanut sweets are too cheap for that money, I bet they are expired! Eat from selective outlets to keep yourself fit, healthy and enjoyable. Sri Lanka is a great place to visit and don’t go on budget according to Sri Lankan standards. Good luck. ❤

The lotus flower tickets sold to foreigners are a bit expensive only. Could reduce it in half. Because there's nothing interesting to see. The red mosque is way better than it.
