Elvis had his personal jeweler make that ring especially for this concert. It is a horseshoe. As this was a charity concert all proceeds went to the Kui Lee Cancer Fund. They wanted to raise $25,000 and raised $75,000. At this concert Elvis gave away rings.. his belt.. his cape..which at that time the cape alo e was worth around $8,000..but he always kept his horseshoe ring. This just speaks to his generosity. He adored his fans and loved to perform..that is where he was the most happy. He once said let the fans take the shirt off my back..they put it there. He also said that he would never sing a song that he did not believe in...I think that is why he always sang with such passion and feeling. I love how you talk about him being soothing for your soul...it is so true. I listen to his Moody Blue album every single night to fall asleep. Thank you for another fun and fantastic reaction. I love your Elvis reactions and you are hands down my favorite reactor. TCB 👑⚡️

@@snakeinthegrass7443 THANK YOU for your kind comment. It has been a while since this brother of mine suddenly passed, but still not able to dwell or think about it too much. Time does not heal. But I've been drawn to our Saviour through all the bad things in this life. I remember when this happened I was in University. At that time I was taking a class in "The Bible As Archaeology", from a Professor who was from Ireland. I told him what had happened. Professor Graham had a Masters degree in Counseling plus being an Ordained Minister. He reminded me that God is Sovereign and never changes; and also reminded me of Samson in the O.T. Pastor said all of the things we read about are for our good, and to never despair. Congratulations on becoming a Grandfather!

I've heard a few of his friends and even Priscilla say that he was even better looking in person. 🤯 And one of his guys (sorry I forgot who it was) said Elvis was the best band director that was never recognized. Another part of the genius of The King (who didn't like being called "King" because there is only one King and He's "up there" [Heaven]). I also have to add it's awesome to see the younger generations getting to experience The Legend that is ELVIS! 🙏💜

Elvis and i were friends for 10 yrs. up until his death. We both needed a friend and we were that for each other he asked nothing of me and i asked nothing of him. How we met was kind of a funny story but i will not explain because people judged and commented nasty hurtful things that hurt me deeply. So i will not post anything about our friendship ever again, We had a short conversation a few days before his death we were both very emotional. i will love and miss my friend forever. i walk past Graceland everyday sometimes i go in and walk around the grounds and talk to my friend at his final resting place. they know me there lol. love to you from the one and only Memphis Tn. Those people who were fortunate to see Elvis in person say that he looks much more amazing in person!? How is that possible??? I have recently read that Elvis never felt he was worth all the fame, wealth, and hype...and why was he picked to be Elvis? He also felt survivor's remorse because his twin brother died at birth and before Elvis was born. I've heard that he asked his mama aka Satnin, could you imagine if there were 2 of us? Lol, I heard her response was the world is not ready for 2 lol. His dad said when he was born it was bittersweet bc he had lost a child and it was painful but they were so blessed to have Elvis...His mother Gladys was overprotective and as a mom, I can relate although praise the Lord I have never been in her situation.

Appreciate what you said about Elvis. He was as far from being racist as they come.. He was raised on gospel music and church. Elvis makes me cry hearing him sing this song everytime. My bitter ex wife lied to him about me & stole him away from me. I did not fight because I was afraid it would only damage my son's mentality. I walked away from him without a sound. That's why this song hurts me so much. Thank you, sir, for playing it & your beautiful reaction. God bless your relationship with you & your son, and your wife. Me? I will die because of a broken heart. This is the 1st time I have shared my story & why I relate to Elvis' You Gave Me A Mountain so much. Although I cry, Elvis eases my pain because he is singing about my situation (Except I never been to prison & my wife never suffered any heartaches, while she enjoyed a country club lifestyle & my six fugure salary). RIP, KING. 🙏

At the difficult age of 14 you need your mom, especially when you're a girl. And it always seemed to me that they had a close relationship. Happy to hear you put this one at the top. It's one of my favorites too. It is the meaning/lyrics of the song along with Elvis' amazing delivery for me. I love lots of his songs from this concert. I believe he performed best in the Live show (this one)...although he gave awesome performances in the rehearsal show the day before too (of course) and he was a bit more relaxed in the rehearsal show. (note: he was super nervous for the Aloha Special, especially for the Live show). Sidenote: sometimes it's hard for people to tell the difference in the shows... one key is he looks different -- he got a haircut after the rehearsal show. You've probably already heard Steamroller Blues from the Aloha Special... If not, give it a listen! He's so smooth...and he seems to really enjoy that one. :) The lyrics are pretty hilarious. I always enjoy your reactions !!! ;))

Vibe! Oh Vibe! seriously I've been a little in my own bubble lately and I haven't been watching a lot of KZfaq. So, i come to realize i have been feeling off, because I haven't been keeping up with my continuous watching of all Elvis content, which had been making me so happy in my everyday life, where i was feeling more then i has in a long time. I have watched this performance many times so it wasn't a complete surprise to me that it helped me do just that, but what took me to an even higher place of feeling, was you being a part of it as well! Your feeling towards the music and Elvis and everything, it is always so pure! My Husband was a professional musician, did a lot of E's stuff, but he said, " I would not want to be on his stage, he is just too hard to follow, you never know which direction he is going next, and I'm just not that good! But, it would be an honor if I ever did get the chance to try!" I am so glad I was blessed to grow up actually seeing him perform, saw all of his movies, had every record he released! There will never be an equal to him! And if you go back to his early days, you will see where Michael Jackson got his moves from!

Lowell Jewelry in Memphis made it for him around 1969 or 1970. Cost $38,000 then, valued at over one million today. He only wore it on stage. The still have the ring at Graceland today.

I absolutely loved your reactions especially of Elvis. He was singing on the first concert on satellite with 1.5 Billion people watching all over the world. Your reactions are witty, fun and yet so intelligent. Intellectually your vocabulary and the way you catch on to things is amazing. Oh, by the way I took a beer and I grabbed those snacks ( only one) so sorry. 😂😂 I’m going to give you a song Elvis sang. It’s not live but it really showcases his voice. Someone made a video with it that has px of him as he sings. The song is called Tomorrow Never Comes. His fans love this song. If you want, answer my comment and I’ll get you the link. Thanks again for your reactions to this great singer. ❤❤🕺🏻🎸🎤

He gave away rings like that to total strangers, he gave away cars and houses to, all to strangers in need, that my friend is a humanitarian... The ring cost about 35 - 40 000 dollars at that time, he gave it away to a young girl in a wheelchair, but he gave away rings like that to strangers several times

A lot of people don't realize that he wasn't just suffering with physical illness. Elvis was suffering from mental illness, Anxiety attacks, panic attacks. Depression and addiction.. Elvis, the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be.. Sing it , in the Heavenly Chior with Whitney, Johnny, June Carter, Janis, and all the other greats who've gone on before us. Song it while Jimmy is playing his guitar and Charlie Daniel's on the fiddle..

Delighted when I saw this upload pop up!! Best reaction 🎉 Elvis was the personification of perfection ❤ I’m mesmerised watching him. It would have been his 88th birthday this Sunday (8th Jan). Can you do a reaction to mark his day? ‘American Trilogy’ (from the Aloha from Hawaii concert) or ‘Trouble’ (black and white version from his best movie King Creole)… thank you and awesome job keeping his memory alive. Ignore the negative comments… people who hate Elvis are in need of therapy or medication! ❤ love from Ireland ☘️

Hey! You're almost at 50K! Whoop- whoop 🙌💃🙌💃🙌💃 YES! This is one of my absolute favorites too! My Dad & I were SUPER close. I guess you could say I was a Daddy's girl. Love & miss him every day 💖🙏💙 LOVE your reaction to this one- and to Elvis's bling 😂 There's a reason why one of Elvis's many monikers was The King Of Bling 😄 Back in the 1950's they called him The Memphis Flash 😉 Thank you, thank you very much, Mr. Vibe, sir! Happy 2023 to you & yours 🔔🌟✨🙌💃🔔 & TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace ✌& 🙏 to you & yours & all that goes for everyone else here as well 💕

I would love if there was someway for you to squeeze in something special for it ❤️ Maybe a triple upload or something fitting for the 👑 TCM has put a bunch of Elvis content back up on HBO max in honor of his bday for any of you who might be interested :) That's The Way It Is and Elvis On Tour as well as The Searcher and a couple of his movies :)

The 50th anniversary of the concert is on January 14th!! I hope they will do something special for that. I watched this concert live. It has stood the test of time. Elvis is the best performer of all time. I fell in love with him at the age of 10. Your first love is always special. I knew at that early age that he had something that set him apart.
