the real singer was Jenny b. (Giovanna Bersola). Later (Baby Baby - Try me up - I don't wanna be a star) Sandy Chambers. Corona was a Italian project. Olga De Souza was the frontwoman. "The summer is magic" (playahitty) is always sung by Jenny B. The voice is the same. :-)

@@Bowdon The Italian Eurodance was made by different producers who sometimes created a group (witha good singer) sometimes used a frontwoman for the stage to entrust the song they produced. Given the huge success of this one song (and Jenny B.'s refusal to continue) they looked for another singer continue with the project Corona who they found in the "house". Sandy Chambers in fact already lent the voice for the same production company. and sang the next ones songs. (Baby Baby, Try me up, I don't wanna be a star). Jenny B. is behind "The summer is magic". Sandy Chambers is behind a lot of productions but he is also on stage with Double you (watch "dancing with a angel"). There was no internet at the time and no one knew. Olga De Souza, the one in the video, came as a guest in the nightclub I frequented. Everyone sang in playback. It wasn't important, was eurodance. Sorry, "google translate".

Thank you for looking at this..this was the 90s underground club anthem...and reminds me of gradnight at Disneyland when they turned on all the dance floors and opened up the park just for the graduates..this song ruled the mainstream underground for about 6-12 years..had several covers..and again it was this or weird al that led me to you..as my first hunts for reactors were weird al or this song..before I found ptx or dimash..thank you

The video was filmed in Brazil. They used a Brazilian model to lipsync to the song. The actual singer I think was from Italy I believe, but eventually this Brazilian model became the actual lead singer for this group sometime afterwards.

This was covered many times, Cascada did one and there is a mash up cover by Bastille with this and Rhythm is a Dancer, to name just two of them. Miss those times when this and the beer were the only Corona we cared for.

alot of good Eurodance songs didn't came out in the US, so later it was easy for US groups to take samples from Eurodance in their songs cause nobody knew these samples overthere.

Early 90s seems to be the last really great period for dance music

It's not but I was in my 20's in the 90's so I know it well. Lots of great dance songs but now there is vocal trance which has many great songs. 90's dance music was more accessible in the 90's because CD compilations came out and MTV and other music networks played the videos. Now it's all itunes. As a dance music lover, I have spent years finding great dance music that is current on itunes. Now you have to search for it. You won't just hear it unless you listen to XM.

Black Box, Billie Ray Martin, Capella, Culture beat, E-Rotic, Fun factory, La Bouche, LeClick, Livin Joy, N-Trance, Real McCoy, The Shamen, Stardust, Crystal Waters, Rozalla, Jam & Spoon, 49ers, Captain Hollywood project, Inner city, Grace,. I love 90's dance.

There were quite a few good songs in the late 90's and early 00's. Think of all the MoS releases, or Jamiroquai, Fat Boy Slim, Fedde Le Grand, Darude, Bomfunk MCs, Armin Van Buuren, Robert Miles didn't release Children until 95. You're not getting Eurodance anymore, but you are getting all the types of House, Drum and Bass, Trance, Jungle (anyone remember Played-A-Live?) and so on.

@@Paldasan Early 2000's had Ian Van Dahl whom I loved. Lasgo. I swear 2010 had the best dance songs come out. George Acosta with True Love and Tearing Me Apart, Sunlounger with Lost, There Is Hope from Zoo Brazil , and most recently My Boy R&D, and You're So High by Eli & Fur. There is a lot of great stuff. It is a search for it though through Itunes and XM. I will shazam songs off XM all the time.

Great dance song! Just like how Black Box and C + C Music Factory didn't use Martha Wash (of the Weather Girls) in their music videos and used someone else to lip-sych to Martha's vocals, the same thing happened with this song. Jenny B (a.k.a. Giovanna Bersola) sang the main vocals but was repaced by Olga Souza in this video, who lip-synched to Jenny B.'s vocals.
