Yeah, man. What talent!

Wintersun is finnish metal band, from nations capital Helainki. They are quite hard to describe as genrewise... they are mixing alot genres like death, black, folk, symphonic, progemetal. Jari Mäenpää (guitar, lead vocals, first name pronounced yari) has described also their music as epic metal. Wintersun started as Jari's soloproject while he was still playing in Ensiferum (also great finnish metal band), but Wintersun took so much time. Other wizards are Teemu Mäntysaari (guitar, backing vocals), Jukka Koskinen (bass, backing vocals) and human metronome Kai Hahto (drums) who is also drummer in Nightwish since 2013. There is also great drumcam from this song, if you want to check it out. There is still two songs from same rehearsals, Time and Land of Snow and Sorrow. I really hope you could react to these also. Your Nightwish reference is spot on cause these guys are on the level of their own and the drummer Kai has been a member of NW for years now, after Jukka got so "sick" and the base player another Jukka has been the session base player for NW since Marco left. The vocalist Jari is the "brain" / master behind all these great songs. He has only 1,5 lungs left since he lost part of his other lung due to a sickness. You have to do some "TIME" next! Love Wintersun. What an incredible band. Finland is truly the metal capital of the world. Also check out Gojira. Their drummer Mario Duplantier is considered one of the best drummers in metal. The Gift of Guilt (live) is a good start.

Nice reaction to a monster drum song. I see you've done a reaction recently to Lovebites. Another Japanese band (rock, not metal) that you should check out is Band-Maid, and their drummer Akane Hirose. Since you're a drum guy, I'd say start with the official live performance of their song "Freedom." It's one of their earlier, simpler songs with a bit of a pop-rock feel, but Akane plays a nice drum solo in that video. They were founded by rhythm guitarist and vocalist Miku Kobato, who was working in a maid-themed cafe after an unsuccessful pop idol career, and she decided to try to marry the cute maid image with a hard rock sound, hence their image. They're extremely hard working and have been playing in mostly small venues since 2013, but thanks to KZfaq have really started to get noticed over the past couple of years. Hopefully once they start touring again they'll get the widespread recognition they deserve.
