Oh, definitely the gig. I was at a Metallica concert two days ago and it was the best time of my life. Nothing compares to Metallica life. It was something out of this world. And they in their late 50s almost 60 still sound the same and have the same energy, James’ voice is strong as ever. It was beautiful. There are bases with 4 and with 5 strings. Rob (bassist) swaps them depending on songs.

That’s how rock and metal is, it doesn’t need words to make you feel stuff. Some of Metallica’s best songs are actually instrumentals check out Orion, The Call of Cthulhu and To Live is to Die. I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction! I just watched another new (to me) person react to a different Metallica song and their mind was blown too. Listen to Creeping Death by Metallica, live in Moscow, Russia, 1991, right before the Soviet Union ended. Best biblical song EVER! Crowd was kinda big too. Was a historical event. If you liked the guitar work at the beginning of this song then you’d probably love Sanitarium. (See what it’s about first so you can focus a bit more on the music.) Or just pick any random song, especially off their first 5 albums. You really can’t go wrong with Metallica.

That Moscow performance is legendary!I love all their albums up to And Justice For All. Then they lost me. I saw them on the Black album tour in Orlando and they were awesome. Jason sang half of Whiplash and it was badass. But after that they just stopped having the hook they had in the early days.

Its nice to see a young musician connecting with another music genre. Nice reaction man! Metal doesnt need a ton of words, the music is open up for interpretation and is transporting most of the emotions. The voice also acts like an instrument.

I've seen them live 31 times. First time in July 1992, most recently February 2019. Every time is an experience. There's no other word for it. And you seem to be feeling something here mein bruder.,😎🤟 All you need is a open mind. My nephew in German is 19 and is hooked to German rap.. I know it's a big deal. But I'm a old man, who was lucky enough to grow up in the 80s and I saw the beastie boys live. LL cool j, public enemy, schooly d (the original gangsta rapper), mantronix, just ice, some absolute epic hip hop.and rap acts back in the day.. But I was always open to different music. And Metallica are masters of their art.. They have a lifetime of experience and are one of the greatest ever bands. Just open your mind and enjoy.. Oh and don't forget that you have one of the greatest LIVE bands in metal history in Germany.. The mighty Rammstein.😎🤟 tschuss bro..🙏

Hey Cloud Sleep!, im only 7 min in atm and i just have to say i love your reaction so far, i love watching reaction videos of music especially stuff about quality of voice and how they use vocal folds or the notes from the instruments themselves, but its really refreshing watching someone just get lost in the feeling itself and enjoy the song in a more pure form! (i had a random thought of "Man feels true emotion for the first time" go through my head xD But sincerely im so glad you liked it and im looking forward to seeing your thoughts and feelings on other bands and singers in the future, (also looking forward to being introduced to more! :D Hope you have a great day, now i goto watch the rest of this video xD Edit: After finishing the video im amazed at your reaction and actually sort of had tears in my eyes (not crying but just wetter than usual lol) Also theres alot of songs like this that we will throw on randomly (its great when you have to clean the house honestly xD but you Can listen to this stuff more casually ^_^ )

@@OMIMreacts Well don’t listen to my favorites (yet). They’re fast, hard thrash metal, and I doubt you’re ready for that yet. 😁 Most will recommend either Master of Puppets (studio version) or One (studio version! Video is great but the music and lyrics are overwhelming enough as it is). Both songs are pure masterpieces and although they might not be our very *favorite* song, most of us agree that they’re Metallica’s best because they showcase all of what makes Metallica so legendary. Look into the meaning of these (and most) Metallica songs first though so you can focus more on the music and lyrics. And I highly recommend that you play the studio versions first too. You can always do the videos/live concerts another time.

Just a word of warning I have ADHD and I kind of went a little crazy with this explanation because Metallica is my favorite band and my current hyper-fixation but on to the actual comment now. I loved your reaction as a person who was a giant rap fan and still does like rap but I don't listen to it as much anymore, but you made me remember how I felt when I first heard this song. And one thing you were talking about how they are older and expressing this pain the lead singer James Hetfield actually wrote this songs lyrics when he was around 20 after his first Marshall amplifier that was gifted to him by his mother was stolen which gives the song so much meaning and even the theme of the album this was on, Ride The Lightning which if you like this song Id recommend checking out its a bit different than this as its heavier. But the album heavily revolves around death in a great way like its not depressing but its not happy its a middle-ground. The first song on the album Fight Fire With Fire is about nuclear warfare, the second song Ride The Lightning is about a prisoner who did something to get the death penalty and got sentenced to the electric chair, the third song For Whom The Bell Tolls is a masterpiece that is about war and what is entailed in that, the fourth song which you reacted to Fade to Black is about the amplifier being stolen, the fifth song Trapped Under Ice is about a person who got cryogenically frozen who woke up but was unable to move and was trapped in their own body and trapped in their chamber the sixth song Escape faces Hetfield feeling alone, the seventh song Creeping Death is about the first Passover from the bible where a pharaoh refuses to release the Hebrew slaves so god sent an angel to kill all the firstborn sons unless the door was marked with blood, and for the eighth song The Call of Ktulu it has no words but pays homage to H.P. Lovecraft's book The Call of Cthulu. Sorry for the giant explanation I just really like the band.

thank you for this explanation!! since i am so new to Metallica this is all new to me and very helpful! The album Ride The Lightning sounds heavyyyyy, maybe a bit too much for me at the moment but I do want to listen to it eventually. Maybe I need to find someone in real-life to sit down with and listen to it and get explanations in between the songs!

Deep and emotional. Yes, that is this song. It was a song written about suicide and bringing mental health into view of the world. Release date was 1984. Yes, that is correct. Song was released to the world 38 years ago. Other titles by Metallica you need to see include Master of Puppets, Enter Sandman, Orion (which is an instrumental song), Call of the Ktulu (another Instrumental), Nothing Else Matters, One, Fuel, Hero of the Day, and Battery. Newer ones (released in the last 10 years or so) that I really like are Hardwired (to Self Destruct), Now That We Are Dead, Halo On Fire,. If you want to see what their bassists over the years are capable of, listen to Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth). Just remember with that one, it is played entirely on electric bass by one person, and the drummer.

ps you have a beautiful road of discovery ahead of u, i wish i could listen to these songs again for the first time. you will hear a lot of peoples opinions, but the metal community are kick ass people and will help with bands and songs to check out, and will answer any questions u might have about the band, the songs, or whatever. i really enjoy watching reaction channels because its fucking dope when new people get what its about

Thanks for very nice, pure emotional reaction! It's nice to see new people experiencing Metallica, as the different type of music. Metallica itself is very versatile and musical band, they have fast and energetic songs and slow beutiful ballads, like this one. If you want to experience more Metallica, I give some song recommendations down below. Also it might be good to do some mix between studio and live versions, studio versions make you focusing more on the music, but on live you can experience their show. Especially as a rapper, you might want to also focus on the lyrics, as some of their songs have quite deep message. - Creeping Death, definitely live from Moscow 1991. Legendary concert from Russia, with over 1 million people in the audience. Excellent heavy metal song with nice solo. Nearly unmatched energy of the band and the show. - Master of Puppets. This is concidered on of the best pieces in heavy metal genre, legendary. Fast and electric, with deep message in lyrics too. Manchester 2019 show is good option as live. - One. Classic reaction song in youtube. Also has good changes and transitions of different types of feelings, and tells very tragic story. Here's option for some live performance, or to watch the official music video, which has movie clips telling story in the background. Both are good. - The Day that Never Comes, live for example from Quebec Magnetic show. Some of their more recent stuff from 2nd latest album. - Orion. Pure instrumental, masterwork of their ex-basist Cliff Burton, who died in bus accident during their tour. Studio version. - Fight Fire with Fire. Live from Brazil 2022, their very recent show. Example of their current performance, example of how they still rock even being near 60 years old. - Battery, live from Seattle 1989. One of their fastest songs, example of their trash style when they were still young. Enjoy the music journey!

The cool thing about metal is, that there's so much in that genre that you maybe would never find if someone wouldn't tell you it exists. Alcest for example uses a made-up language in some songs about the active world. And even tho you can't understand a word you still can see this fictive world when you close your eyes and listen to their music. Sadly they strike every reaction to their songs.. But you could react to Jinjer or Tool for example.

Pretty cool that you got a "fucked up" feeling from the music only considering the theme of the song. Thx for a good and open reaction.
