Game of my childhood. Tried TDU2 later, but the handling made me drop it and install TDU1 with Platinum mod

@@signe_stilett yeah. i personally love tdu 2 and have hundreds of hours on the game, however i agree the handling is horrid

They're fine until you get to ones that are like 30 miles long and you're forced to drive like a grandma for an hour

Idk man I am pushing 200 km/h when I do those Got platinum mod working on steam deck, so that's nice

@@signe_stilett yeah but the traffic AI isn't great so you're very likely to crash, it's very frustrating when it happens close to the finish

@@Issam-od4pg yeah. And elevation changes sending you flying into npc cars is also a classic I just find it more fun to mostly pedal to the metal when on roads that allow it and restart when I crash 10/30 of these on my current playthrough

The ME412 is the fastest car I think but I've never got it as you need to complete every event. I love using the dodge viper and ferrari 575.

Where did you get that information? TDU1 and TDU2 used the Twilight Engine, which was Eden Games own engine. Solar Crown is going to use the KT engine, which was used for the WRC games and is also Kylotonns own engine.

@@acaciawizard3018 Downloaded the game (folder) in desktop mode and added the executable to steam, checked if it worked at all. Then downloaded Platinum v.1.0 and moved the files with overwrite to game folder, and tested it. Then patch 1.29 Used mouse and keyboard untill I set up controller controls with analog inguts and set trackpads as mouse and scroll. Works nicely in game mode, pretty sure I capped it to 45 FPS because I prefer longer battery life and no fan noise

@@acaciawizard3018 looks like my comment yesterday didn't go through I have set up base game in desktop mode by adding executable to steam and checking that it works (By default keyboard controls are used) Platinum is installed by moving and replacing files from V1.0 platinum mod over base game, then patch 1.29 over it (You don't need to do every single patch). This does alter game files, so you may want to keep a base game folder as well After doing that setup, go to settings -> keybinds, and replace keyboard ones with controller ones (set deck as joystick, a mouse or kb+M will help with this one time setup a lot) It does register sticks and triggers as analog inputs, but labels them funny. I did not like right stick for selector on map (they would wander, looks like game does not respect stick deadzones), so I used trackpads as mouse & wheel Works well, Deck will push all 60fps but I limited it to 45 as I like the fans to stay quiet and better battery life
