Fun part about the openings is that they commonly update through the series when new characters are added or plot reveals are done. Including last opening counting down - week by week - days left to the "graduation", using real world time. So every week with new episode - you know how many days you have left to the end of the story. Also all of the music was sung by the voice actors. Apparently made to cut the costs down, but it also adds extra level of closeness with the cast and the characters - singing for your every episode.

It's very interesting to see it in action, where in the first opening they convince themselves of what the show is about, and then spend the next 3 openings figuring out how it gets justified when its clearly wrong. It's very entertaining to watch though, especially when they pull "there is an imposter" outta nowhere

Since you explicitly asked what this anime is about Spoilers! One day, an insanely monster appears and declares it is going to destroy the Earth Nobody is able to stop it. But the monster gives humanity one last chance. They have to give it a single class of highschoolers, and it shall become their teacher and mentor (both as a regular teacher, and in teaching them how to fight) If the students manage to kill the monster before they graduate, the Earth will be saved. Sounds simple. But a problem appears, turns out the monster, outside the show "destroying the Earth" thing is actually an incredibly nice guy, and the best teacher they ever had. So the question is not just whether they be able to slay it, but also whether they will even be willing to in the first place.

You guys should definitely react to the first episode, the anime is really good to binge watch 💪

This is my go to anime when I just want to revisit my childhood, I watched it first at 13-14 and it’s so fun and heartwarming. It’s fun seeing your takes. In all honesty I recommend watching the firsts episode to get the concept and then see if you’ll enjoy the rest of it, no need to worry about heartbreak :)
