I love your interest in the TALENT Blake has here. I met him years ago and he asked me what I would like for him to record for me. I said I love, the Black Crows…She Talks to Angels…do that one! He said ok & this was it. Definitely one of the sweetest things I’ve ever had anyone do for me. Blake did a FANTASTIC job. A lost girl, who has had a lot in her life…but she’s saving herself. ❤

I always interpreted the song as a woman who lost her son and slipped into addiction as a way to escape the pain of her loss and while high she has delusional conversations with her dead son. Not sure if that is what was meant but it’s what I heard in the lyrics and the tone of the song.

I am a huge Blake fan, and I had no idea he covered this Black Crowes song! 😲👏 Secondly, I'm jealous you have even been around both Blake AND Gwen! OMLawd... Gwen has been my girl crush since her first single / video with No Doubt came out so many years ago!!! I still listen to and buy her CDs, and have all of No Doubt's as well. I would probably tear up in the case of even meeting her. I think she and Blake are adorable together! 🥰

Beautiful ❤️‍🔥 truly beautiful ❤️‍🔥 soft country soul rock SCSR 😊 I think she talks to the ones that have passed away that she loves and the angels that over us and she listens to what they say, let the pain take its course and let it all out, it will heal you and as time passes the pain will lessen and turn to joy because someday you will be together forever, for now talk to us and endure and we will show you what it was all about by and by ❤️‍🔥

Early on you referred to this being "early" Blake, but then you referenced the year. If you want something from his early stuff, you need to do "The Baby." Make sure to do the official video. It adds so much to the experience. I don't think you've done anything by The Black Crowes yet. Add them to your list as you'll love them.

Blake and Gwen wrote a song together (a duet) basically texting each other over the phone in 2015 just when they started courting each other. It is called "Go Ahead and Break My Heart". I believe you would enjoy it. Since then then, there have been four other duets. Nobody but You, Happy Anywhere and Make it Feel like Christmas. The last one of the three was written by both. But the first two would be worth reacting to. You will really be surprised how well their voices work together.

I love Blake, he is such a versatile artist. He has funny songs, party songs, and serious songs. He has a a heartbreaking life history I think that is why he is so down to earth. You really need to react to some of his hits. As far as the lyrics to this song-The cross is someone she hasn't met yet. She hasn't met Jesus yet. Meaning hasn't met him and known his mercy yet or she hasn't met him but will when she dies. Everyone else has already explained the rest...
