Hi Britt, Dan sang this with a passion, His father passed in 2018 and it was his fathers favorite song son it means alot to Dan. Im sure his father felt this all the way from heaven, That is the best rendition of amazing grace I have ever heard.I was never into metal at all, But Dan has just became my favorite version of this song. This was my moms favorite song I had played at her funeral. I wish I had Dans rendition of it back then, My mom would have felt it from heaven also. The best version i ever heard ❤️ it. I found this song shorrtly after my should have been wife lost her fight to cancer. I will never be the same without her. I have a new journey ahead and this song brings me peace

Ok.. as one who has previously heard/seen PTX (Pentatonix) version, AND who also loves Dan who is *Equally* gifted! I literally love both PTX and and DAN deserve the spotlight...there is no in between!

The way he is playing his harmonica almost sounds like Scottish Highlander bagpipes. Had me in tears with pride for our country and how hard fought was the battle to become America! ALL Americans should be very proud to live in a country with the freedoms that we are so blessed to enjoy. We now need to STOP the INSANITY that we find our country in today and learn to love one another as brothers and sisters, regardless our individual cultures. ❤🙏👑🙏❤

Just so you know, Daniel Vasconcelos, aka Dan Vasc, is a Brazilian national, living in Brazil. His channel, and he are both very very addictive... and apart from that stunning voice that gets every hair standing up, as well as the heart and the butterflies racing, he's not exactly hard on the ol' peepers, with the most gorgeous long dark hair and a bod that's a work in progress...🤤 yep, it's thirsty work checking out his channel...😋 😉😁😆🤣

I love Dan. He could sing stereo instructions and make them sound great. He has more hymns in his videos, some even in Latin, which is even harder for most singers.

Don't laugh but I am 68..just came across him yesterday on you tube..cannot believe I've been missing out on his music..I have never been a "metal" person but his voice and his renditions of my favorite songs blows me away..just listened to his version of " toss a coin to your witcher"(yes shame on me I am a fan and anxiously awaiting season 3).. I hope he continues to sing for us

You didn’t mention the ‘thing’ that makes it so phenomenal is that you can feel him. The words are not just words. I get chills. He does do opera. There’s a cover of a Bocelli duet. Cannot think of the name of it. He did say his father is Italian.

I told my son the same thing a few days ago. Toss my ashes at the top of Powell Mountain. I can see it….lol if they get up that early lol…the red/yellow/orange of the clouds as the light moves over the mountain ranges, my ashes flying on the breeze with Dan singing in the background!!!!!!!!

Dan started out Baritone, then went up an full octave to Tenor on the third verse. Yes he is classically trained. That’s why he can hold that last note so long. Phenomenal voice.
