Thank you for your great reaction. Dimash turned 25 on May 24 , but he was 22 when he sang this. He is from Kazakhstan. He has been classically trained since he was 5 years old and was offered a position in an Opera company. He declined as he wanted to take his own path which he calls neo-classic.

A Dimash song is like riding a roller coaster through a mini-opera where all parts are performed by the same person who has no limits to his voice. He can sing in any octave (six so far), any vocal timbre, any style(pop, rock, opera, broadway, hip-hop, jazz, R&B), any language (twelve so far) and transition seamlessly between these within the same musical phrase. The voice you heard comes from one naturally gifted but is only possible through years of dedicated training under the supervision of outstanding teachers. His mother is an opera singer, his father a pop star/music producer and he started extensive formal musical training at age 5 on instruments and vocals. He has said that his vocal chords are longer than usual and when the "voice change" happened he didn't lose his high notes but just extended his lower range. As a teen he trained operatically at an arts school but with his range that meant performing as a tenor and a soprano. His tone is so exceptional he was actually part of the female section of the choir when they needed help. He then studied rock, pop and RnB vocal styles in college where he obtained a degree in The Art of Stage Performance/Variety Vocal. He plays seven instruments well including piano, the dombra (Kazakh two string lute) and the drums. His goal is to tastefully combine these vocal techniques, along with those of his native Kazakh heritage, to create his own musical fusion.

He was 22 years old when he joined this competition. He was the youngest, other contestants are professional Chinese singers (he was invited from Kazakhstan), he was the 1st to perform, so the audience didn't know him yet. But he won in this round. His 2nd performance in this competition is the Russian song Opera 2. He also won that round.

Dimash turned 25 on May 24, but was still 22 at the time of this performance. This was his first performance on The Singer. He was the wild card contestant, and they didn't expect much, so they put him first. You can see how surprised the other contestants are. You won't be able to believe this, but he has gotten better and better in the past 2 years. He's from Kazakhstan. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He was invited to participate in a competition for professional singers organised annually by the Hunan Television (a Chinese provincial TV station). Dimash was the only non-Chinese participant, he was the youngest (22 years of age at that time), he was the first to perform. This performance of "Le SOS d'un terrien en détresse" overwhelmed his fellow competitors and the audience of 500 (who acted as the judges of the competition). He won over one million fans literally overnight. He became the most favourite singer in China. The competition "Singer 2017" lasted for over three months (with each participant singing 14 songs). There was a respite of a few days when Dimash was invited to France to sing "Le SOS..." (There is a video on that visit). While in Paris, Dimash went to the cemetery where Grégory Lemarchal is buried and laid flowers on his grave. Grégori, who died of cystic fibrosis at the age of 23, made this song famous in France, but it is not originally his. The original author is Daniel Balavoine, a young French artist who died in a helicopter crash in Mali in 1986. -- Denis Ten and Dimash used to be friends and best buddies, planning together what they would do to promote Kazakhstan, their homeland. Denis Ten won the Olympic bronze medal in figure skating, the only Olympic medal Kazakhstan has ever won. Denis was using "Le SOS,.." sung by Dimash, as his guiding music in his figure skating performances. On 19 July 2018 Denis was murdered. Dimash gave a 2.5-hour concert in London on 19 Nov 2018. Towards the very end of his concert he was to sing "Le SOS." On the background screen was shown Denis skating. We may only guess the strain and burden which Dimash had to go through when he saw Denis skating and the music play "pourquoi je vis, pourquoi je meurs; pourquoi je ris, pourquoi je pleure." This was too much. Dimash was unable to finish this song fully; he had to withdraw to backstage and cry. -- The lyrics of the song are the scattered and distraught thoughts, aspirations, desires, and memoirs of a dying man. But just before the last phrase Dimash makes a pause before he sings "Dodo, l'enfant, do." The lullaby phrase is no longer the thoughts of the, by now, dead man, but rather those of the celestial beings who will escort him to life everlasting.

he was 22 at the time this was filmed. he just turned 25. he is from kazakhstan. he pretty much sings any genre he can. he is most known for this technically difficult opera type songs but he does so much more. and if you ever watch him in interviews he is so humble, so sweet and endearing. he has a beautiful voice and soul. i would suggest continuing with his The Singer 2017 run. so next would be opera 2. its not really opera, despite the name.

Hi. You have discovered Dimash! He is unreal, right? Since you seemed interested, I would like to share some information about Dimash and how he was first discovered by us Dears (Dimash's fans). Dimash Kudaibergen (Full name: Dinmukhamed Kanatuly Kudaibergen) is a Kazakh singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is university trained in classical as well as in contemporary music. Dimash has participated in many international singing contests during his teens. But the one that made him known worldwide is a singing competition in China called “The Singer” in 2017. This competition is a high-class singing competition in China where only veteran singers already with a few prizes to their name would be ‘invited’ to participate. Dimash was invited there as a wild card. He, unexpected from the other contestants and the show itself, became a sensation in China overnight and won second place of the competition. The competition is a very long one, with 13 episodes (with one biennial concert in ep 14). Dimash sang in many genes and many languages in that competition. Here is the information about his performances on the show. Episode 1 : SOS d'un terrien en détresse (French) - This is one of the five hardest songs to sing in French. Dimash of course killed it. Episode 2 : Opera 2 (Russian) - This song is by a Russian singer, Vitas. Episode 3 : Show Must Go On (English) - The forever famous Queen song. Episode 4 : Late Autumn (Chinese) - This is the first song he sang in Chinese. He didn't speak Chinese at the time. But he wanted to thank all the Chinese fans he got during the show. So, he chose this song to sing which he had to learn phonetically. And with this song, he went on the win the 'Best Foreign Singer Award' in China. Episode 5 : Up-Town Funk (English) - It's good and so refreshing to see him do something fun. Episode 6 : Adagio (English) - This song is by Lara Fabian, a very famous singer. He played piano in this performance. He started learning piano since age 5, along with singing, and won his first piano competition at 6. Episode 7 : Daididao (Kazakh) - This is a very beautiful, sad and popular song in Kazakhstan. He wanted to show his country's culture. So, he sang this song in the middle of the competition. Here, he played another instrument. Episode 8 : Daybreak (Chinese) - This is a very very sad song. It's the first Chinese song he listened to when he was nine years old and it touched him deeply. Also, he had sore throat just the day before this performance and still couldn't speak on the morning of the competition. So, in order to not disappoint his fans, he took 4 throat injections in one day, to be able to sing. Episode 9 : All By Myself (English) - Everyone knows this song very well already. Episode 10 : Unforgettable Day (Kazakh/Chinese) - This is a song he composed himself when he was 19. The lyrics are from a poem, authored by one of his father’s friends. In this competition, all the singers are required to sing one of their own songs. And he chose this song to perform. Episode 11 : He was exempted from this episode because he was one of the top three contestants to be competing for the top three positions in episodes 12 and 13. Episode 12 : Confessa and Diva Dance (Chinese/Italian + Alien) - It’s a contrast of how low and how high he could go, as well as how beyond-human his singing abilities are. Episode 13 : Tribute to Michael Jackson (English) - Dimash is a big fan of MJ. And this is a compilation of 3 songs as a tribute to MJ. And he also played another instrument here. After this competition, he still continued to practice and improve his singing and performing abilities. His recent performances are even more magnificent. I really enjoyed your reaction! So many of us went through the same thing when we first heard Dimash. There is no way, really, to be prepared for the journey...this was two years ago, and wow, he has just mastered so much more. He sings so many different styles...pop, we've been treated to a taste or two of opera, ballads. He has some music videos out and his first album is to be released this month. There was an outrageously good concert in Moscow recently--Dimash singing for more than two hours. I have subscribed, and am looking forward to your discovering more of what he can do. Dimash turned 25 on May 24, his participation in China Singer, happened when he was 22. He was honored for being the newest participant ever held in Singer. Surely, you already know that he was born in Kazakhstan and our best singer is 1.91 in height of pure talent. His voice is wonderful and his attitudes and actions are even more so, because what you see about him in the videos is a humble man, noble, honorable, kind and educated, a result of his character and family education. In this video Dimash is 22, soon to be 23. He has such a huge fan base. In his concerts (all sold out) people came from all over the world just to hear him live. Right now he just turned 25 and Russia heard him and latched onto him. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, is contracted in China and I think Russia is trying to lure him away. Dimash speaks fluent Russian so he is a little more comfortable there. But he loves his Chinese fans who he calls Dears. I would recommend you stick to singer to get to know him first. There are so many incredible songs of his to react to and everyone of them surprises you. He has so many fans I would strongly recommend keeping on reacting to Dimash. You will notice a huge increase in subscriptions and people watching.
