You mentioned the X factor segment and actually two of them (Junhoe and Yunhyeong) had to do something similar. In their second survival they had the risk to be eliminated, they were given the opportunity to sing whatever they wanted just like that, without prior practice since the program was running, they sang a short part of a song they felt comfortable enough acapella. Junhoe passed but Yunhyeong forgot the lyrics since he was nervous and he was the first too. He lost to the other trainee. Junhoe cried a lot since he and Yunhyeong begun their training together a seeing him almost being eliminated (they went through a previous survival show together too) fortunately, it wasn’t the real final. They were simulating because the final episodes and battles had to be live because the audience had to vote. What you said reminded me so much of their journey. The suffer a lot in order to follow their dreams but they never gave up!!

You should definitely watch Climax - it was so sad when they sang it during the survival show WIN (who is next). It was a survival show to see which group would win and get the debut - they were definitely singing for their lives at that moment

Omg I can't believe you're reacting to iKON I follow you since the beginning of your EXO journey and I'm convinced you will love them. Their music is very different from EXO though, they are as you saw already more raw than most kpop groups probably because they are totally self produced and they focus more on hip-hop/ballads with a lot of rock influences, which is pretty non-existant in kpop nowadays tbh. To get a better idea of their identity in my opinion you should definitely react to their 'break up trilogy' composed of 3 (+1) mvs which starts from LOVE SCENARIO m/v, followed by KILLING ME m/v and closed by GOODBYE ROAD m/v (this one is a ballad btw and my favorite ikon title track) there's also a sequel i'M OKAY m/v. The best would be to react to these 4 mvs in chronological order (the lyrics are available on all 4 of their mvs) and maybe analyze the changes in the songs tone and message as the break up goes. Although they may all follow a similar theme, they can all stand as wonderful songs on their very own so no matter how you choose to do it these songs are still a must listen!

you got it right. What's special about iKON is their raw authenticity. They are not dance perfection machines with flower boy looks. Not tall. They are average boys with so much heart and raw talent. I love this song. IKON has a different vibe that is almost always on a series note, that vibe..coming out of different pasts, Junhoe voice, omg... and I love Chan-woo and Junhyuk's voices. And of course, Bobby became my bias right away...he is so cute, and that raspy voice. They are another group that went through alot but always rose above with their sound... Have you heard of the group Epic High? Great hiphop group with great music, raw (parental guidance advised), Bobby joined them in a few songs (I love bobby)💙🌺

I was feeling nostalgic and this song keep replaying in my head, it’s really nice that your first time reacting to ikon here is with apology. My fav voice in kpop is also junhoe/june, and in almost every ikon’s songs he would sing the chorus part that really maximize the song effect. He also likes to play a lot with melody and ad-lib. If you see this comment, you should definitely see ikon colaborating with a rock korean band (Boowhal) on a tv show (Fantastic Duo 2), the live performance was gold! The song was kinda sad but the harmony is just out of this world! A lot of ikon’s songs are about break up or hype party songs, but i think you’ll also like their side tracks songs in the new kids album just for chilling or jammin’ in the car. When you started talking about how this stage seems like the last opportunity as those in Xfactor, I started getting emotional. If you know the history of this group, what you said would have a different level of depth to it. These boys have such huge respect for any stage they step on because it took so much for them to debut together. In each stage they step on, they make sure to perform 101% of their capabilities. They don't discriminate against the size of the audience. There could be 10 people watching them and they would still perform as if they're performing during their dome concerts. It's one of the many reasons why I love this group.

Check out BOBBY from this group and his stages for YGGR, BOUNCE and GO in show me the money, , he's such a good rapper, he even won Show me the money 3, the competition that is full of underground experienced hip hop rappers, he won that as an "idol rapper" when he was only 18 and still a trainee by defeating a guy with more than 20 years experience in hip hop. At the beginning he, together with his friend, Bi, who also joined the competition but did not win were made fun of for being "Idols" and were mocked by ppl saying "Idols rappers" (Idol rappers are known to be rapper just because they can't sing) can't really rap and they're only here because of their companies and fans. He got a lot of hate and people even dissed him in their raps in that show, however, he then proved every single one of them wrong by winning the competition against all of them and they all acknowledged his talent, he is now known for being an mazing rapper and he is "STILL" the only idol rapper who won this competition, that season of the show is known for being super fun because of him and people still talk about it because of the power his stages held.
