Lara started her career the same year as Celine Dion at the 1988 ESC (she sang for Luxembourg and reached 4th place). She was born 1970 to an Italian Mother and a Flemish father near Brussels, spent her first 6 years in Sicily and then in Belgium studying from 8-18 at the Royal Conservatory at Brussels classical singing and acting. At the age of 20 she moved to Canada where she lived till today. She is well known in the French-speaking world, in Eastern Europe and in Brazil (where she performed the title song of a long-running soap opera). Congratulations on discovering Lara Fabian. She is a living legend, huuuge outside the United States. It helps that she sings in multiple languages. She happens to be one of Dimash's idols, so much so that he sings several of her covers, and they ended up singing a couple of duets together. One really interesting reactions would be if you compare her Adagio to his Adagio. Or her "Mademoiselle Hyde" to his. Hello Lara’s rendition is the best and will never be equaled. But I would like to introduce you to a 4 male crossover harmony group callrd “ Forestella” from South Korea. When they performed their first song ( the Freddy Mercury classic“ Bohemian Rhapsody”) it catapulted them to international stardom and they now have millions of followers worldwide. They were all at one time solo performers. One has a very deep bass/baritone voice. Another, a high operatic voice, and the other two group members (who were also solo performers at one time) combine to render “je suis malade” a confluence of absolute total passion and performed live on stage in front of thousands of fans. I thought no one would ever come close to Lara’s soulful rendition. And no one vocalist will. But when you have 4 members and the best vocal harmony group in the world, well.
