As far as I know, there was no romantic /sexual etc relationship between them but they had great chemistry and made a lot of good music. Now, Loretta's granddaughter Tayla and Conway's grandson Tre are doing music together.

Nope, they were not a couple, but if you watch the tribute to Conway after his death with Loretta and George Jones, you can see that the platonic love Loretta felt for Conway was as great as any true love story.

My family and I used to listen to the Paul O'Grady radio show on the BBC. Every week someone would nominate a couple celebrating an anniversary and then his producer would play a wildly inappropriate song for them. This was, by far, his best choice.

Please check out "Fist City" by Loretta Lynn. She throws more shade in that one than she did in "You Aint Woman Enough". Every KZfaqr I've seen so far can't believe the lyrics in that song. It is some serious "OG gangsta talk". You will love it as everyone else does after they react to it. I have it on my car's playlist & listen to it every time I need to drive somewhere. Coal Miner's Daughter is one of her biggest hits. They made a movie based on it; starring Sissy Spacek as Loretta, Tommy Lee Jones as Loretta's husband, & Beverly D'Angelo as Patsy Cline (Loretta's best friend).

Here's a song that is kind'a similar John Prine and Iris DeMent - In Spite of Ourselves. John Prine passed away in 2020 due to COVID but he is an outstanding song writer.

Finally! You've discovered Conway & Loretta. They have many duets together. My favorite is, " "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man". But any song they sing is great. They had great chemistry together. They were married, but not to each other. They were the best of friends & would of had more duets if Conway hadn't died when he did. They also had many hits as separate artist. Conway & Loretta are also like Dolly Parton....great singers/songwriters. With just these 3 artist you will find a very deep well. The hits are many. Here's a story for you about Conway & Loretta. They were in the studio recording the song, "As soon as I hang up the phone". At the end Conway hung up the phone a little to hard for Loretta as she sang the last note. Loretta came out of the booth & told Conway "don't you ever hang up on me alike that again!" They had fun singing together & you will notice it if you watch them sing live. They loved each other so much. Loretta always said, Her & Doo(husband) loved Conway. Doo didn't want anyone else to sing with Loretta. He said, "Loretta has a duet partner, it's Conway Twitty". Loretta was at the same hospital with Doo, when they brought Conway in. She begged & told Conway not to die. Loretta was heart broken when Conway passed away. I sure do miss & love them both!

I love this song so much! My mother was obsessed with Conway. Conway and Loretta did a lot of duets together but they were never a couple. Loretta was married to Dolittlle Lynn till the day he died.

They were not a couple. They just sang together. Conway died in 1993 at the age of 59 from an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Loretta passed in 2022 at the age of 90.

Could you tell Conway was a certified panty dropper? Many babies have been made to Conway's music... George Strait had to overcome Conway's record of 41 number one hits to to take that title (George now has over 60)... Conway was known as "The Best Friend a Song Ever Had"... He could tell a story too... He was the king of the country growl... I suggest starting with his song, "Hello Darlin"...

Actually the line about her figure being gone isn't that she's let herself go -- it's that because she's been pregnant so many times, that natural elasticity of her abdomen muscles and skin done gave out (she's got another song that plays right in line with this one called One's on the Way)

Interesting that you reacted to Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline on the same day. Patsy was a major influence on Loretta and they became close friends. They met right after Patsy was in a bad car accident - you can see a scar from the accident across her nose between her eyes in your other video today. Someone else suggested you watch "Coal Miner's Daughter". I would also recommend that movie. Sissy Spacek does a great job as Loretta and Beverly D'Angelo is outstanding as Patsy.
