I was privileged to witness Lucy and Martha sing this live on the 5th March this year at Stoller Hall in the UK. It was out of this world and they a received standing ovation. Something I will never forget.

Even with the age difference , Martha is phenomenal! She is the Queen of harmonies and to sing with Lucy takes a lot of guts but Martha has grace and delivers !

She loves and trusts Lucy and knows whats comming, Lucy could blow most singers off the stage but uses what is callled for by the song at the time instead of blasting everything. Her warm lower tones her mid and head voice are exceptional the full package with an extraordonary strong voice, great training and practice. Allready exceptional and still getting better.looking forward to watching her career.

Martha is 5 years eight months younger. Lucy started training at 7 and Martha started with the same voice coach when old enough. Twice a year Martha joins Lucy getting experiance and confidence each time. The first track they sang Martha was 10 they sang Say Something I'm Giving Up On You Martha was less advanced with her traing and unused to performing she sang very well but eyes darting around watching everything. But she locks in on Lucy for her cues. With the six month jumps you really see Martha's progress jump each time. Try You Raise Me Up great song duet and they have baby pics in part of it..

Feminine, inviting, humbling, elegance -- well chosen words! Words that most of today's pop divas probably can't even spell, let alone emulate! Thank you for reacting to this truly exquisite masterpiece and these two angels! I've been following their musical development since I discovered Lucy through a reaction channel four years ago this month! No Regrets!

lets get you up to speed here !! Little Martha is 12 years old here !!!! Lucy is 18 there is 5 years and 8 months difference in ages, Martha is sitting on a tall stool while Lucy is standing, as Marthas top of her head does not come up to lucy's chin. Lucy has been with the same vocal coach, Carolyn Hudson since she was 7 years old. 11 years at the time of this song. Nothing has been said about Martha working with a voice coach, however there are video on instagram of Lucy working with Martha when she was 10 years old. on the song SAY SOMETHING that was recorded as Martha's first recording. as of Dec 2023 Martha is 14 and Lucy is 19 to be 20 on Feb 21 2024. YES By all means watch WHEN YOU BELIEVE as Martha is 11 years old and was given the lead in the song and starts off and we get to see Martha do some solo work and damn she is good for 11 years old and we can hear what Martha can do and she even does some belting and really gets into the song, and don't stop the video as soon as they quit singing, there more sisterly love shown that is the best part of the song !!! I have deep deep respect for martha for being so gutsy to sing with Lucy who is just so damn good, also Watch WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD, and SMILE where their Mother Louise joins them and we see where the girls get their talent !! ! The songs that Martha and Lucy have done are in order SAY SOMETHING 2/11/2020 @10 & 15 ARMS of THE ANGEL 7/17/2020 @10 & 16 YOU RAISE ME UP 12/2/2020 11/16 yrs WHEN YOU BELIEVE 5/13/2021 11 & 17 Yrs OH HOLY NIGHT 12/4/2021 12 & 17 Yrs PRAYER 4/13/2022 12 & 18 yrs the CLIMB 8/20/22 12 & 18 yrs SMILE 3/16/2023 13 & 19 & ? That was absolutely beautiful. I checked. Lucy is 19 years old and Martha is 5 years younger, so 14. You can tell that Martha's voice is not so mature, but I have to say that I really like her. She has a lovely, sweet smile.

Martha was sitting on a tall stool there to raise her nearer to Lucy's height, she is much younger, about five and a half years. The first duet they did was 'Say something'.

Further to my earlier comment, ‘When You Believe’ would be a great next choice. As someone has already said about the song, Lucy was 17 and Martha 11 when it was recorded. It was also noteworthy for Martha taking more of a lead and really getting into it. Do be sure to watch that video right to the end for some sisterly light-heartedness.

Hello Marie, once again a lovely reaction to these wonderful Thomas sisters singing " The Prayer" it was as you say a truly exquiste masterpiece, I am waiting for Lucy's version of a Whiter Shade Of Pale to come out on KZfaq, I believe her copy is the same version that Annie Lennox recorded a few yerars ago now. It is such an iconic song to listen to. Keep reacting to Lucy and Martha there are so many fantastic songs out there by the Thomas family, have a wonderful Christmas Marie, love from Barbara.❤❤❤

Hands down in my opinion the best cover of this song including the one by Andrea and Celine so that’s saying a lot. Yes, please do When You Believe. Martha is even younger in that one.

Yes! as the other favorite of mine they do together, but yes, Martha being 5 years younger (and it shows in her voice maturity as you noted) but in a good way to my ears at this point, as there something special that siblings bring to the spectrum of music....Martha however does take the lead in that particular song.

Singing is Lucy's passion thankfully for the rest of the world. Martha may have more diverse interests and hopefully will continue to develop her talent. They are both so talented a nd have a range of covers to choose from. They are World Class!

It’s not nerves just a big age gap at that time and, of course, different personalities. Lucy’s life is singing. Martha has the same gifted voice, but has other interests and it probably reflects on how they approach their singing. But they are both such talented girls. By far my favorite songs are the ones that Lucy sings with Martha. Those harmonies!! I would really recommend Oh holy night, specially since we are near Christmas. To me, the best version ever.

That was recorded when Lucy was 18 and Martha 12. Someone who I think knows the family said that Martha was sitting on a stool so that she appeared nearer to Lucy’s height.

stever There are a couple of pictures on Lucy's instagram account in the recording studio and you see martha sitting on a tall stool and there is also one where the 2 girls are posing for a picture, both standing and Martha is leaning an arm on the stool and you can see the height and size difference in the 2 of them, 5 years and 8 months is a lot of development time, so yeah there is a large difference. in Mary Did You Know , 2 years later you see how much Martha has grown and matured, and her singing voice also !!!

Good Evening - Thank you for reacting to an incredible duet with Lucy and Martha. Lucy was born on 21 Feb 2004 and Martha was born on 4 November 2009 which makes Lucy 5 years 8 months and 13 days older than Martha. This duet, in my opinion, is better than the duet with Andre Botticelli and Celine Dion ... but I am really biased. I believe there are 6 or 7 duets on the Lucy Thomas Music channel - all of which are just wonderful. The latest duet is 'What A Wonderful World' just a couple months ago when Martha was just short of her 14th birthday. Thanks again for your support and very nice comments to the best vocalist on the internet today. Stay safe and healthy!

All Lucy and Martha duets are something to behold. You won’t go wrong listening or reacting to any of them. It’s seems that this particular song is the most popular of the set of duets. I think I like “In The Arms Of An Angel” myself, but each to its own. Lucy and Martha are just spectacular. Thank you for the wonderful reaction and your support of Lucy and Martha.

Suggest that you react to "Smile"with their mother joining the party, and "What a Wonderful World"". Two classics bought back to life. These are both short videos, so you do them together. Also, tis the time for Ö Holy Night" to hear how this should be sung with reverence.

Martha from a very young age followed a little in Lucy’s footsteps having more fun than dedication. But like Lucy Martha has a lot of natural talent. This song is amazing and considering all the elements Lucy is awesome but Martha at only 12 years old here is incredible. Forget about their ages for a moment and listen, and all seems to fit and blend perfectly, with perfect harmony. ‘The Prayer’ is brilliant and intense with so much to analyse plus beats all other versions so it comes highly recommended by all. The other videos you are contemplating Martha is younger between 10 and 11 years old. Everything Lucy or Lucy and Martha sing is great so you cannot go wrong whatever you decide. If you fancy ‘When You Believe’ then go for it you enjoy that too. Martha was only 11 in that.

The age difference is about 6 years. And it's a great point that you're raised. Martha's main love seems to be horses add equestrian stuff but she's obviously a really good singer and the chemistry that they have together just slays me every time. I mean it absolutely slays me.

The Prayer has a habit of putting people under it's spell, and by that smile that lit up your face as you watched the sisters singing, youv'e been caught 😊 😊. Although she is a very talented singer in her own right, It seems that Martha is going down a different path. From what I have seen in the comments Martha is a talented horserider and has competed in a few equestrian sports events, and has won a few, and Martha is considering making an olympics bid

Colin Yes, Imagine the position Martha is in, little sister to the best female vocalist going, would you want to try and compete with that with the age difference ??? No of course not, so Martha has chose to ride and compete in Dressage and show jumping and she is excellent at it and has won several classes and place well this summer, and Lucy does NOT ride !!!! You see Martha can be Martha and NOT just Lucy's little sister this way , and not have to compete with Lucy as that would be difficult at best because of the age differences, Our two daughters did the same thing and they were 4 years apart, You see Lucy has helped take care of Martha as the age difference and family photos shows, she has become a mentor or a second mother to Martha and Martha see this and obviously has chosen not to try and compete with Lucy but to do her own thing and become Martha Thomas on her own !!!

Yes Lucy has said that Martha does not want to make singing a career but is more interested in Equestrian sports. And if she is good at it why not.
