She learns from a legendary Indian guitarist who plays Indian classical music on guitar.. Indian music is quite complex so the rest of the metal stuff becomes easy for her and she can learn it off KZfaq or play by ear. Her Dad is a metal head.

I love her to bits...but, that was NOT last resort, she actually got invited onto AGT and yes, she did have a guitar tutor check out her KZfaq channel. But wow, what a performance 🎉

I don't think she had a tutor come home. It may have been online. But still, in 4 years to come up to this level of brilliance is a combination of God given talent and perseverance. She should have got the buzzer.

Online coaching from Guitar Prasanna once a week for 30 minutes - that’s what she said in one of the interviews.. and does practice for 6 hours everyday

She practices indian classical music carnatic music, which takes 3 hours continuous music, which is very fast.

Maya comes across as a remarkable person, not just a super talented guitarist. Full credit to her family and friends. It's worth watching. They'd never played together, rehearsed, or even met before. It was the first time Maya played with a drummer. It was the first take. Stunning! Like they played together for years. Yoyoka doesn't block. Best Wishes. ☮ Maya's collaboration happened more recently than the AGT clip was recorded, but released before the AGT clip. Maya is 11yo. Yoyoka and her family moved from Japan to California 2022. Yoyoka is a remarkable drummer. One of her special talents is totally supporting the musicians she's playing with, and bringing the whole band together.

@@RadioTeo Thank you for taking time to reply. Their TOOL cover is the full 6 minutes. It is superb, but when it hits that it was the first take, and they'd never even met before, then it is amazing. Yoyoka is 14yo. She's a self taught drummer, and has been playing live since 4yo. So she learned to 'tune in' to the band very young. Yoyoka made a drum cover of "Forty Six & 2" October last year, so they both already knew it. All her videos are one unedited audio take, the way she'd play live. In the video, Maya has a lovely sweet, personality. Yoyoka has her 'game face' on. She concentrates completely on playing to support her collaborators. Best Wishes. ☮
