Fun fact! In the song “It’s Over Isn’t It”, Pearl’s voice actor went so hard on that song, that they had to redo the storyboards for it because they didn’t expect she’d do so fantastic

"It's over isn't it" and "Both of you" are part of the same musical episode, so there are 4 or 5 songs in 10 minutes. They have a lot of weight taken in the context of the episode and always brings a tear to my eye. It's about grief and how to move past it. "Stronger than you" is amazing and "Here come's a thought" as a great message about anxiety but the song itself doesn't touched me that much, just not my style.

That first song is the longest one in the entire show, and the last one you complained was so short is one of the longer songs. Most songs in Steven Universe are just short little ditties 30 seconds to a minute or so in length. Judging from this most Steven Universe songs would rank around a 2-3 on your rubric. Seriously, if you're vibing to a song, there's nothing wrong with giving it a good score.

its over isnt it was sang by the va for pearl, the singing character, so passionately in a way nobody expected, not even rebecca herself who does most of the song and story writing, that they had to REANIMATE IT to reflect her execution of it

Please start this series I absolutely love it and love watching people react to it it's an absolute masterpiece and you will not be disappointed. Things do seem pretty slow at the beginning because the first season is so long and things normally pick up towards the end of season but trust me it's all worth

I hope you do start this show, it's a good one. There's like 125 episodes or so spread over 5 seasons, then the movie, then one season of a spin off show, so it's not crazy long. It's jam packed with great music and a good story that touches on a lot of nuances in interpersonal relationships. I think you'd enjoy it :)

Yesss! I will definitely stick around for more SU content! I loved this series growing up, and despite having a strangely large amount of haters, it's a mind-blowing and emotional show, from the first episode all the way to how it all ends in Future. Definitely recommend it, even if only to get some context that makes these songs so much better.

@@UrFavShyGuyPossibly because of a lot of LGBTQ+ representation in the show. It's nickname is a show about gay space rocks lol. The shows creator, Rebecca "Make It Gayer" Sugar, is a non-binary person themself.

Oh man they showed you some of the best ones! They're even better when you have the context. This show starts slow, but it's all about character and story. It will surprise you over and over.

Highly recommend watching it, just be wary of comments because a lot of (young, presumably) people tend to spoil the entire plot & twists in reactors' comments. I watched Scoot's reaction and the comments were full of ppl feverishly "explaining" entire plot points and character arcs like, 30 episodes before they ever started and/or concluded. Very bothersome... who starts a book by reading the ending first?

Yeah, so I'm autistic and I love this show, definitely a hyperfixation that makes me super happy, and apparently a ton of autistic people love Steven Universe? I think this is why the show does so well for reactors. It has so much depth, and deals with so many deep and heavy real world issues that what you bring to it really affects your experience, which to me makes it very interesting to see people react to since different people often have wildly different takes and reactions to the important character, beats, etc. That being said, some people definitely do lose their head about this show and forgot what MST3k told us "Think to yourself, it's just a show, I should really just relax." So anyway, yeah like any fandom they'll be a few bad eggs, and in this fandom particularly you're going to get some people who are perhaps too heavily invested LOL But it's a wonderful show and well worth it in my opinion

Personally, I would be very happy if you reacted to this show! Also, if by any chance you decide to react to more songs, one I would really like for you to listen to would be "Escapism". While it's unfortunately just as short as "both of you", I think it's still a masterpiece with how emotional and melancholic it is.

Welcome to the SU family my guy. This show is really special. Also honey, if this show DOESN'T make you want to cry at some point, you have no humanity. Also, fun fact! The animation team had to redraw the animations for "It's over, isn't it?" because Deedee (Pearl's voice actress) went SO HARD in the studio on the song they had to match it visually.

Very excited if you do SU! It can be a slightly slow intro but it's so good and it just slowly gets better and better. The music is a huge focal point for the show's love. Even the characters have specific leitmotifs (it's subtle and it might not be noticed but it's a thing that the creator actually thought to use)

Both of you is my favorite song in the entire series. I think thats its often overpowered by pearls solo "its over isnt" since that song comes right before both of you. Its so underrated in my opinion.

Truly, the first season I played as background noise, but it as ALL important. I appreciated every moment of this show and I garuntee you will get views from this. I love Scoot and really, it is highly recommendes for a reason.
