Tommy is a Swede and he is born 1987 up north in Sweden in a place called Boden. Tommy plays ALL instruments on his cover videos. He plays guitars, keyboards, drums, accordion, harmonica, banjo, flute etc. He's a musical wonder. In this song he sang it one octave higher than the Josh Groban version. If you want more of Tommy in full figure, watch some of his later videos.

He isn't singing in just 1 octave, he is starting an octave above where Josh Groban finishes, taking it higher each verse. Tommy plays many instruments as well as sings. Try his version of "Cottoneye Joe"

Its good to see that you find both Erik and Tommy from Sweden. 2 of the best male singers in the world. Tommy is a music phenomenon. Plays many instruments and the voice range is unreal. Me my self play several instruments and sing. Have done it since I was 5 years old and have pass 50 now. Mostly rock music and metal. So I know when I see and hear some special. Tommys talent have made me cry many times. Tears of pure joy and admiration.

Over the hills and far away is a Gary Moore cover he idolised Gary Moore he referenced Gary a lot in his guitar tuition videos he is good at it but Gary Moores version and guitar skills and vocals are second to none.

Tommy J is a superb musician and kind (and goofy at times) human😊😅. His solo channel is full of amazing covers. Pick any one and you will be pleased. If you want to hear another side of Tommy you ought to look up his band Majestica and the song "Above the Sky". There you can see him play the guitar, he's the lead singer also and, last but not least, all the guys have as luscious hair as Tommy do ;)

He's a one man orchestra. Everything you hear is played and sung by him, putting many layers of recordings on the same song. I definitely suggest you to try his many ABBA metal covers. I came to appreciate Tommy because of his ABBA covers, 'cause I'm an ABBA fan. Many groups and singers do metal covers of ABBA but he's surely the best one. Could be because he's Swedish like them?

Tommy Johansson is from northern SWEDEN and from the same county as I live, although his city is called Boden, where Tommy comes from, and my city is at the top of Sweden, Kiruna, which is world-renowned for being the city you move to. Tommy is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist, singer and music producer. So all the instruments you hear in his music video are the ones he plays, including the drums. Because it's JUST Tommy, the instrument, camera and computer when he makes his videos. Then Tommy does not sing this song 1 octave higher, but he reaches a full 4 octaves higher. It should be added that Tommy started recording these to have something to do during the pandemic and posted it on KZfaq and it became much bigger than he thought. Has Tommy himself told.

Tommy is amazing and his mind is like Erik Grönwall’s. They both are so kind and always caring for everyone, especially their fans. They going to make more music together and I waiting so for it. Because I like the higher range Tommy has and love that range Erik has. It’s good together and they having fun together because they are how they are.❤️❤️❤️

Yes a Celtic song you are right. Although Scots, Irish and Norwegian are closely related .many Irish fought with the Scots against England . I have heard a couple of Scottish singers sing this song , but this one is the best yet

@WolvenHeart1 not just Ireland , France and Wales as well where at the Battle of culloden King George also known as (the butcher) was a dictator pure evil on any level. when scotland Ireland and France retreated to regroup he ordered his English and Welsh soldiers to chase and slaughter everyone and they did the war wasn't about power for scotland it was about protecting land that England wanted that belonged to scotland. Ireland and France where there to help stop him for there own reasons if that psycho took scotland where would he go next maybe want Ireland after that or maybe France they united in one common goal, protect there countries as well. But to you're original comment he in no way sang it like a scotsman. doesn't matter if scottish people or Irish or Norwegian people cover it. The song will always be and sound Irish. If he did it in a scottish accent maybe who knows but that song in no way will ever sound scottish.

Great reaction. I only have one ”issue”. Why do every reactor go the same path? First this one, then She’s gone. I mean, Tommy has soooo many masterpieces on his channel where he also gives you more of his skills on the guitar, bass, piano, keytar etc etc.

@@brittreacts By the way. You were asking for footage of him when he plays the guitar. Poor guy doesn’t have a big studio and being 6’4” it’s hard for him getting those shots. But there is a lot of them in the more recent vids. You hot two of hom in his cover of Emerald by Thin Lizzy, great song by the way if you like old school hard rock with a celtic touch.

I believe Tommy challenged himself to sing this 1 octave higher than Josh G. If Tommy hade säng it in the same key as Josh G, his performance would have benen much different.
