The Adam Driver guy is actually the song’s composer. The band A-Studio was popular years ago and made up of Russian Kazakhs. The lead singer has already passed away. Dimash covered this past hit, but of course added his own twist! And yes, the bald guy in a white shirt is indeed the “piano guy”, Igor Krutoy. This was the first time he heard Dimash sing and as you can see, was impressed enough to give him a standing ovation! The two then went on to partner in a string of hit songs.

What I mostly enjoy watching your reactions is your sense of humor which sometimes turns to self sarcasm, your raw honesty and the same humility we can see in Dimash. Btw, this performance is around 2 years after The Singer competition in China that put Dimash right in the global stardom with 600 million followers in one night with his SOS version, Adagio, Hello, Show must go on etc. The reason this downward run is so hard, apart from just having belted for over 20 secs on a freakin C5-D5-E5 --> Bb5, is that it's a pentatonic run, so its harmony is way too hard as it's not on the normal minor scale that the song transposes to. He is even better now as you have noticed in the Stranger or Ave Maria reactions of yours.

Nice reaction 😁 Dimash sings many genres : pop, rock, folk, crossover, opera and even raps a bit. The majority of his songs are simple (in a normal range without any acrobatics) and they are very beautiful. He doesn’t need to do crazy stuffs to be great ! Try some of his Kazakh songs, they are my favourites : Samaltau, Qairan Elim, Daididau, Amanat, Qaraim-ai …. They are Dimash’s soul.

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion.
