I'm 52 yrs old and was a musician (trumpet) for a large part of my life. No voice has been able to move me like Dimash's. He moves in and out and through all registers with ease. He has so many colors to his voice it's almost not believable. He reaches in, grabs your soul and takes you on an incredible vocal ride every time. His tone is so pure and his upper register is heavenly. Dimash is certainly a generational talent for sure. I'm so glad that we get to hear him live during our lifetime. I love seeing new people get introduced to Dimash. Those "I can't believe it" faces you make are the same ones we made when we first heard him and still make those faces after hearing those same songs over and over. Great reaction and looking forward to your next one.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato,whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Dimash didn't want to be put in a box of limits, why sing in 5 keys, when you can sing in all keys. This is what he has been doing - to get where he is now and still training. At the age of five, Kudaibergen began to take piano and vocal lessons at the children's studio of Aktobe's Akhmet Zhubanov Music College. He later attended Gymnasium No. 32 in Aktobe. Kudaibergen completed a Broadway Musical master class in 2009. In 2014, he graduated in Classical Music with Major in Vocal (Bel Canto) from the music institute of K.Zhubanov University in Aktobe and began his studies in Contemporary Music (Jazz, Pop) at Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana, where he graduated with Major in Vocal on 27 June 2018. On 18 June 2020, he graduated from the same university with a Master's Degree in Composition by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score, and receiving a recommendation for admission to doctoral studies in music. Kudaibergen plays seven instruments: piano, keyboards, dombra,drums, guitar, marimba and bayan. He speaks Kazakh and Russian, and is studying English and Mandarin. He has performed songs in 15 languages. That's the dedication you need.

Just to say, that last run-it’s something like 26 seconds, all kinds of vocal gymnastics, in one breath. Oof. Also, at the end, you’ll see a guy in a white shirt starting the standing O. That’s master composer Igor Krutoy, who came out of retirement to work with Dimash. One of their first collaborations was Ogni Pietra (Olympico) which might be a good next stop. Also, that yodel thing he did-I understand it is a traditional Khazakh mourning sound-I guess the guy who originally sang this passed away, so it was in his honor. And the composer of THIS piece was playing the piano, I believe.

Boy, I LOVE newbies! Always so blown away, like we were at first. First, you totally missed the last run and how long it was because you kept stopping it. He can hold his breath and sing strongly for more than 28 seconds. Dimash has been training since he was 5 years old. His parents are also singers and famous in Kazakhstan. He has a Master's in Music Theory and is now studying for his Doctorate. He has sung in 15 languages and is now composing a song in Spanish now. The only time he sang in spanish a little bit was because Andre Bocelli invited him to his house and sang a little with him because he was so impressed by Dimash' voice...can you imagine? AND, you will see in some of your future videos a pianist, Igor Krutoy, who is a Russian composer and pianist that had retired a while ago and when he saw Dimash, he was so blown away that he came out of retirement to write and play for him. Dimash also talks 2 languages fluently and is learning Mandarin and English. He is extremely humble, loves family, his country, and his Dears(the name he coined for us!). He is extremely smart and wise well beyond his age of 28. What you have seen thus far doesn't even SCRATCH the surface of what this musical God can do.He also has videos where he sings pop, he raps, he dances, he does EVERYTHING. And he is a MASTER in his performances. He is the ULTIMATE performer and his stages are out of this world.Advice? Don't stop the video right after he sings. Watch it until the end because it will give you a glimpse of what a beautiful and thoughtful soul he is. Recommendations? Stranger. Start a series!!!! Love that as a voice teacher you give us a professional point of view - a great reaction! This is just the tip of the Dimash iceberg - he will surprise and blow you mind, every time. He sings in many languages learning lyrics phonetically. He’s fluent in his native language of Kazakh and Russian, proficient in English and now no longer needs an interpreter and has a smattering of Mandarin Chinese. So many incredible performances - I know you’ve just done Sinful Passion so here are some must sees: Stranger, Ave Maria, Fly Away, Ikanaide, Omir Oter, Love is Like a Dream, Your Love, Olympico, Know, Passione, Daybreak (Bastau), Across Endless Dimensions, Love of Tired Swans, Mademoiselle Hyde, Autumn Strong (Moscow), Samaltau, Qairan Elim, Qaragym-ai (2020 version), Daididau. This is a selection only! He also composes - here are some of his compositions: Unforgettable Day - Kazakh (he was 19 when he wrote this) m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jZt0ZZOks9zSeI0.html War And Peace - Chinese m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rtJkdrKFurCzZas.html Be With Me (MV) - English m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a5aDotGdr8ythYE.html&feature=emb_logo Give Me Your Love - English (his tribute to Michael Jackson) m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ia1ngdFoqdSXhYk.html Look forward to that Dimash series🙏🏻🇦🇺

What you call a yodel is in fact a “bleating” very common to Arabic, Hebrew, Asian and in general Middle Eastern singing. My mom was from Morocco and almost every singer she played records of, added this technique in some of their songs. There is actually an Italian Musical term for it, but I can’t remember it. Here Dimash added this run as a Dirge in memory of the A-Studio vocalist who originally sang this song, but has since passed away.

This was another very enjoyable reaction. This was his 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park. The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts. Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh KZfaqr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. The final run is 21.73 seconds on one breath. This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He invited Dimash to perform and it was this performance that prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Stranger, and Ave Maria, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him. There is another performance of this song of one of his more recent concerts. It is as good or better because you can hear certain parts clearer and the camera stays on him most of the time. Here is the link, in case you want to watch it. He is consistently perfect. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eLCUhZiSreCnkYE.html

Get some more background on Dimash's training. He has been studying music & singing since he was 5 years old, and kept at it, which is why he can still sing in the soprano rang. He has a Masters degree in Music - he's no slouch. He has worked all his life to be where he is today. By the way, that last run was done in one long 20+ seconds breath. Pay attention to the details. We in America often miss the details and respect the artistry. Nice review.

Hello, I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash. Original Version: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ebRpmauozdTFj4E.html

I would be careful on ascribing his technique with what is described often as a yodel technique at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o5p1qNaczcWuZqc.html as being an oriental technique (you need to define what the definition of "oriental" which is mainly defined as East Asia which is mostly encompassed by China. I am very fairly sure this part of the song is meant to represent vocal techniques in the older Russian republic that Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan culture is part of (I have been there) and (less so the middle eastern Muslim call to prayer techniques that you can find) and has nothing to do with East Asia. It is a cultural reference to Kazakhstan and even might be in reference to China's persecution to Kazakhstan but I am not trying to get into this (won't get into the persecution of these regions by China in the past). I am suggesting that you review the history and even religious ascriptions before making a statement that this is a Chinese technique.
@zemanoshtronz
@zemanoshtronz Жыл бұрын
@@robertcampbell8084 This technique is one usually attributed to the inhabitants of the Euro-Asian steppes (Ryn Desert, Kazakhstan), as a dirge! As the information was imprecise, I chose to generalize, attributing the concept "oriental", to differentiate from the techniques used in the west!
@robertcampbell8084
@robertcampbell8084 Жыл бұрын
@@zemanoshtronz Thank you for your explanation and I am not trying to disagree, but after watching his performance of doing this technique in such an amazing and masterful way, I would just suggest that he is doing this to represent the long history of Kazakhstan and not of an "oriental county" which mostly implies East Asia and mostly China. Kazakhstan has a long history even before the Russian empire and has many of their traditional songs that are similar (I make no claim that they are based on this) to Muslim calls to prayer. I think this is a form of Melasmic singing. You can see what I mean when you review that portion to an example of a Muslim prayer to call - here is an example kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a892iKSZv9WweoU.html. Chinese have a similar vocal technique called the Konque which you can see at 2:41 of this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y81ngtd5rszbnZs.html. Happy to hear more from you.

Everyone will want you to react to his newer songs so maybe on your own go back and listen to The Singer2017 songs. As the show progresses, you will see his confidence grow and his voice improve. Told you so : Registers don´t apply to him. Not only male voice, no female voice, no alien voice: Dimash voice. This is a cover of Sinful Passion originally by A´Studio. The bass and the piano players were part of that band and the second was one of the songwiters. 5:21 the farewell to the spirits inherited from Turkic/Tengrenist traditions in certain muslim tribes in the ancient Turan to pay homage to the ancestors and spirits of nature. In Spanish I know it as "hammering vibrato" or "glottal vibrato". In Iran I heard they call it "che-che". It is not yodeling but an ethnic technique relative to yodeling but needs more control on the notes you sing than in yodeling. 3:50 SO DIFFICULT songs that make the singers cry - 2 (ENG SUBS) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rpl1iqWVkpe3ZZ8.html

In his song "Stranger" he hits a C2 using a bit of subharmonic technique. So yes, he's working on it. He also has a brand-new song that he hasn't released yet (that I heard a sneak peek of) that sounds very interesting with some very low notes near the end, including some (what sounds like) low death growl. I look forward to hearing it when it's released in high quality sound.

Why you gave a human so much? A tender heart, great ear, musical intelligence, super elastic and thick vocal cords, handsomeness, his is so tall 1.90cm, etc. Not fare. I listened to Dimash every day, my husband and kids think I´m coo coo, they don´t even like his music and I don´t understand why they cannot appreciate his greatness! I try to sing with him as part of my daily practice, yes, try, because it is really hard and impossible at some times. He is just awsome!

He died in 2006, how is that "just" something that happened, given that this performance happened about 10+ years after the fact? The "kazakh mourning yodle" is also a rumor going around. People hear something, make assumptions, and then people reading it pass it on as fact with little to no evidence. Pretty much the only verifiable data you have is the fact that he's a tenor. Tha comes from one of his voice teachers.

I think one of his latest, "Stranger" might have hit some subharmonics. In that one Dimash briefly goes lower than I've ever heard him go. I give you a lot of credit for reacting to Dimash. I've seen some singers get absolutely depressed about time gone by (and what they didn't practice) instead of getting inspired about what's possible. It has to be said that part of his talent is genetic. But most importantly is he has worked on his craft non-stop, with great teachers, since he was 5 years old, to maximize what God gave him. As such, he has rewritten a new standard of singing excellence and what's possible, and he continues to rewrite that standard every additional year as he continues to improve. Not just singing. He works on stage presence, dancing, rapping, different genres, etc. He is rewriting what's possible as an entertainer.

One video that isnt reviewed enough, watch his duet "drunken concubine". He sings with classic chinese opera singer Li Yugong (sp?). Li is known for singing female parts in Chinese opera and is amazing too, but the two of them together are a really fantastic, interesting mix of Eastern and Western sound. Plus you get a dramatic demonstration of Dimash's range.

He uses sub harmonics in Stranger when he sings bass. He literally sings F in 5 octaves, yes that is correct 5 and it's in English. It was written for him by Igor Krutoy, a very famous Russian composer who came out of retirement to write specifically for Dimash. You also have to hear the operatic "Olympico (Ogni Pietra)" Which is all in his masterful operatic voice. No there isn't anything he can't sing and if you want to know what an angel sounds like listen to Dimash's vocalize of "Ave Maria". The videos you have watched were from way back, now he is even better and that is impossible to believe, but it is true.

Hi Ryan, love your reactions. People say Dimash is a Angel. I think he is. His song Stranger is about being reincarnated into a strange land, given another chance to know who I am. His song Across Endless Dimensions is about the journey of the soul. His song Flyaway is about being complete and wanting to leave and just Flyaway. My favorite is Love is like a Dream. Most angelic notes near the end, so beautiful. Ikananide is a pure love song in Japanese, so tender and so much compassion and beautiful.

Oh, so many from which to choose! Pop? Try the official video (BEAUTIFUL production) of Screaming, where he does his own backing vocals (the live performances are completely different; really not even the same song). Movie soundtrack? Listen to either the video or live 3D holographic version of Endless Dimensions. Rap? Be With You. Broadway with a fantasy vibe? The opening of Stranger from 2021 (New Wave). Ballad? Tokyo Jazz Festival studio performance of Ikanaide. "Popera"? The version of Ogni Pietra at Olimpico that opens with lightsticks in the audience. Best for his reactions - there's another version that shows the choruses responding to him low against high or vice versa. And there are clips of him performing with his parents, sister and celebrities including Andrea Bocelli. Always watch the full versions of the Chinese song competition (Adagio, Opera II, etc) to see how he thanks everyone and relaxes afterward. Opera II has a surprise visit from his Dad where Dimash asks if he performed well!! Oh, and there's the 5th Element Diva Dance. He did one version slightly lower than the film so went back and did it again, in a higher register (the clip where he's dressed in white.) Enjoy!!
