imo the friendship thing isnt the big problem, it's the insane amount of fakeout "deaths" near the end. We even have multiple points where someone "dies" then comes back in perfect health in the same episode. If you don't want to have characters die in your story then stop trying to cash in on cheap death scene drama.

@@zero341 I agree with you couple of times it's fine but when it's like 50 character "die" and then they are alive all of a sudden its kind of annoying top 5 anime for me still tho. And also imo it would have been a lot better if some characters actually died it would make the show so much Better

the story isn't bad its the plot bs. like oh 7 people died let me use this FORBIDDEN spell to reverse time and then have zero overarching consequences. like how come very villain doesn't have like 10 guys who are ok being aged to old men to just reverse when their plan starts failing?

@@RaginCanadian-gx2zl The consequences are that the spell saved them accidentally, not on purpose, and that only a minor amount of time got reversed while the woman that used it lost all of her lifespan. The few seconds she saves, let the fighting forces get the advantages by keeping these future memories and win. The only bad "fakeout" are stuff like Mararov and Gajeel. Where the character is said to be deceased or gone. Makarov was dead, but for plot reason Mavis and Zeref lives reincarnated him. (maybe because they are related, just maybe) Gajeel one had been just a free ticket to come back. Dude body was filled with poisons, and he was sent to the afterlife yet he survived and came back without any sequels. Juvia was on the brink of death and got found by Carla via precog. Ruin the moment but it can happen.

The one thing that i hate the most is how the (insert spoiler) dies at the end of the series and then a few episode later he's alive. Like i think it would've been better if he died

The main reason why people dislike it is because the only explanation for some MC Wins kinda comes down to the "Power of Friendship".(And im someone who loved every single season of Highschool DxD for the chacaters not just the fanservice).But Larcades magic was something that even i found weird.(I know that thats something that Hiro Mashima messed up in the manga and not realy the animes fault but at least i read the manga as it was coming out and even there i tought it was weird).(Even i can agree that the first couple of arcs were amazing but later it fell off a lot).

I have seen recent Shonen show similar ways MC or characters win and no one gets upset, but in Fairy Tail it happens and almost everyone complains. I think Larcades had various different spells under one type of magic. His magic is the White Arts, which is the opposite of the Black Arts. All of his magic is reminiscent of things in the Christian bible, and is used to punish people for their sins. That is what Hiro was going for, however his explanation for what was going on was lacking. Main reason that last arc isn't that great is because Hiro rushed it so that he could do Eden Zero, but then Eden Zero didn't do too well, so then Hiro also continued Fairy Tail. Originally their was going to be the Spriggan15 not the Spriggan 12, but Hiro changed it and cut out 3 villains. He then had Several others get easily taken out. This was all part of his plan to rush the ending, because he was hyped to release his new series. I feel like that last arc could have been broken into two separate arcs, and some of the battles more fleshed out and extended to make more sense.

Which sucks cause I love that one so much and yet it seems to get struck the most.

The 100 year quest will also come out so the Fairy Tail anime still isn't over yet despite the last season being called 'the final season'. Attack on Titan did the same thing, though had to break it into parts.

And the filler that is in the anime is placed appropiately as in a canon arc will happen and then the filler comes AFTER that arc before the next canon one much like One Piece does it.
