The Japanese metal/rock scene is incredible, dominated by the all female bands. Lovebites, Nemophila, Band-Maid, Hanabie have upped the anty IMO. One of many things I love about Hanabie is their sick riffs, often behind kawaii vocals. I love their time changes & genre switches they always have in their songs. Keep on the Japanese journey, it never disapoints.

I love Matsuri's riffs, those are soooo good that after discovering Hanabie right after their gig I came back home at 3 am and picked up guitar just to try it out, riffs from we love sweets are my all time favourites

I've fallen in love with Japanese female rock/metal bands. Hanabie, Band-Maid, Nemophila. Hanabie has so many incredible songs. Reiwa dating apps, Be the Gal, Pardon me I have to go now, Envy, Sentimental Heroine, L.C.G, Time Out, Ghost Mania, Our 7 Days War, Sunrise Miso Soup. I love them...

They do those switch ups so well because they started out as a MAXIMUM THE HORMONE cover band in high school. Every MTH song is a masterclass in time, key and even genre changes in a song. There are many bands in Japan that probably would not exist if it were not for MTH, that's how influential they are. If you want to check them out listen to their song A.L.I.E.N.

Welcome to _Harajuku-core!_ Hanabie named their style after the legendary Harajuku district that inspires their look and music. It's famous for its street fashion, music, shopping, and art scene. As you heard, Harajukucore is an energetic mix of metal, electronic, rock, punk, rap, pop, and even traditional instruments. You are right about them having a good time while performing. Hanabie live is a party. They make sure the audience is involved and having as much fun as they are. Yukina (vo.) and Hettsu (bass/cho.) are the hype-women for the live shows. Even when Hettsu rolled her ankle and had to perform while sitting, she made sure the audience was jumping. They have a lot of songs about serous subjects, but they always deliver that message in an entertaining way. Here's a few song recommendations for you - 'Pardon me, I have to go now', 'Be the GAL - early summer ver.', 'NEET GAME', 'Envy', 'Reiwa Dating Apps Generation', 'Tousou' (run away), and 'LOVE Ranbu'. You can basically choose anything from their back catalogue, and you'll enjoy it. Thanks for checking out Hanabie. ❄🌸

The drummer is very strong, but... in the meantime she left the group and was replaced with Chika, perhaps even better than the previous one (Sae). The lead singer is Yukina, on bass is Hettsu and on guitar the wonderful Matsuri. In any case, most of their videos are funny and very enjoyable (for example the so-called trilogy: "Pardon me, I have to go now"; "Tosou (Run away)" and the last, but no less funny "Be the GAL ~ Early Summer version". So congratulations for the reaction and congratulations for having discovered the fantastic world of Harajukucore!!

Hanabie is a blast, one of my two favorite bands right now. They have so much fun, if you continue with these girls they have sort of a trilogy of songs that's a great ride and shows their sense of humor even more: Pardon me, I have to go Tousou (Run Away) Be the Gal (summertime ver) If you want to check out another amazing japanese band that is more rock than metal, Band Maid is fantastic, I'd start with the Domination (Official Live) video with them.

They got more, just as good as that, maybe better :D Thanks for the reaction and thoughts. If fun is what your after, and it's certainly a large part of what I am after with music most of the time, then there are a few more groups to check out that are in the same Hanabie ballpark in one sense or another. They would all be new to your channel so might be knew to you. Broken By The Scream | 「Rising sun feat. サンシャイン池崎」MV|OFFICIAL Passcode - Taking you out (Taking you out TONIGHT! Tour 2018 Final at Zepp Divercity Tokyo) Gacharic Spin「I wish I」 This particular song isn't quite as fun as the others, though this band is generally incredible fun, this song however is more in the metal realm than most of their other songs so I am suggesting it anyway. ATARASHII GAKKO! - Night Before the Exam (Single-take performance) Not metal but has the right kind of energy so a lot of metalheads I know love them anyway. Otoboke Beaver - Don't Light My Fire [Official Music Video] Again, not metal.... but the energy...

Welcome to the best Japanese female metal band. Do you like fun? I don't know any band with more fun in their videos, songs and live shows. Do you like very good, honest and emotional growls? Tiny Yukina is a beast that exudes the most cuteness at the same time. Do you like brilliant changes in music? Apart from Maximum The Hormone, I don't know of any other band that is as varied as Hanabie, and not just from song to song, but also within the songs. 95 minutes ago, Hanabie premiered her latest music video, OTAKU Lovely Densetsu. If you want to react to Japanese MALE metal bands with great voices (not harsh thou) Galneryus / Angel of Salvation (live) it is 16 minutes long but it is a joy to watch. The singer reach some notes there! Another great voice is the singer in the VK band Versailles / Faith and Decision (live) . The first half of the song is instrumental but the singer has a very good voice!

The history of female harsh vocalists is a bit rough in Japan. Especially domestic artists. Until 2016 there really wasn't any group that made a mainstream splash but then the idol group PassCode switched to Japanese electronicore full time and got picked up by Universal Music Japan and made an initial splash. After that they got a huge boost by some other bands and were the only group that could easily sustain themselves until Nemophila burst on the scene in 2020. Hanabie should be joining those two this year with how much help they've gotten from the likes of SiM and other major domestic Japanese bands plus they have the discography to back it up.
@omnisemantic1
@omnisemantic1 6 ай бұрын
And just how much help have they gotten from SiM and other bands exactly? Because they never crossed paths before the end of 2023 and those were a couple of small two-man concerts. Now being the opening act for Limp Bizkit in Tokyo was definitely a big deal for them, but that's about it in terms of "boosting". Nex Fest was the only other large event Hanabie played in Japan in 2023, but the whole point of that second stage was to showcase heavy music with more unorthodox approaches and to not have Hanabie there when you have stuff like VMO, I mean... So yeah, I really don't see whatever it is you're trying to say there. Hanabie are where they're because of their own skills, Gaku Taura doing hell of a job producing their first couple of releases, and getting lucky with the social media campaign they did for "Osaki ni...". That's the whole story.
@chill07ful
@chill07ful 6 ай бұрын
True, Hanabie. did it on their own. And I would even go as far to say they blew up the entire Japanese metal scene this year. In Japan they did get a bit of help, Hanabie. really did become internationally famous before they had much fame in Japan.@@omnisemantic1
