Just because a person is older, it doesn't mean they're dead. Iron Maiden proves age is just a number. They can out perform younger bands and blow them away.

Don't forget Biss, there's also the Rolling Stones playing in their 70's. You also have Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band playing for 3 to 4 hours and they're all in their 70's.

@@soupdragonuk same thing with Blue Oyster Cult. Eric Bloom is 74 and Buck Dharma is 72 and they are relentlessly on tour. I honestly don’t know how they do it. Keith Richards has so many chemicals in his blood he may never die. 😁

@ The embarrasing thing is todays artists put on a 90 min to 2 hour show. The oldies do far longer Springsteen often passes the 3 1/2 hour mark and he's like 3 times some of their ages. Sure for alot he's only double but the fact he gives the fans what they want a long show. 90 minutes is taking the piss for a concert.

Hey Biss I hope you understand that you have just entered the god tier room. There is no turning back now. You are officially a metalhead. Bruce and the boys are legends. You mention the fan base, Biss understand that they built everything without the internet, hell even MTV wasn't a thing till like 10 years into their career. How did they do it? You just saw it. They would always interact with people every show, not just Bruce but the entire group. They gave everything every night and we the fans were grateful for it.

I just turned 52 and first saw these guys in concert for my 13th birthday. They play every single show to every single fan and that's why they're so beloved. I've seen them 15-16 times (with festivals I honestly can't remember) and they're excellent every time. It was about a decade back that Lady Gaga saw them in concert and said it was the best show she'd ever seen and taught her a lot about putting on live shows. There are several pics of her backstage with the guys here online and pretty funny.

"I don't want to call them old, but they are." And it's true if you look at it thru the lens of entertainers or athletes they are old. At this moment all six members are in their 60's and have been professional, touring musicians for decades but you'd never know by looking at them perform. First time I saw them live was 1985 and I've seen them 12 more times since then. Just to let you know, the Book of Souls Tour was right after singer Bruce Dickinson recovered from throat cancer so another testament to their physicality. They are the greatest live band of all-time. Don't care what anybody else says.

OLD GUYS ROCK!!! I have seen this band in the 80's, 90's, 2000's and 2010's - they are simply amazing and their fanbase is rabid in their loyalty. That is the legacy Maiden have created with their music - it is almost spiritual being part of a crowd that sings every word back at the band - for the whole show. 🤯

You've gone down the Iron Maiden rabbit hole now Biss. I've been listening to Maiden since 1983. They have 17 studio albums. Bruce Dickinson, the singer, is one of the best in rock/metal. If you like story telling, awesome vocals, great drumming, and great guitarists you will love Iron Maiden. Up the Irons! Songs I'd recommend are: Rime of the Ancient Mariner - From the poem of the same name by Samuel Taylor Coleridge (story about about an ocean voyage) Alexander the Great (About the story of Alexander the Great) Hallowed be Thy Name (about a man who is about to be put to death and what he goes through) The Prisoner (based on the UK television series that ran briefly in the late 1960’s) Run to the Hills (about the European arrival in America told from the perspective of both the oppressed Cree and the invading Anglo-Saxon soldiers) Aces High (about aircraft dog fighting between the British and German fighter pilots of WWII) Trooper (based on the Charge of the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava 1854, which took place during the Crimean War) Where Eagles Dare (based on an Alistair Maclean novel, (1967), and film (1968) about a WWII rescue of an American general from a Nazi stronghold in the Bavarian Alps Flight of Icarus (loosely based on the ancient Greek myth of Icarus) To Tame a Land (the song relays the story of Paul Atreides, Paul Muad'Dib, from the book Dune by Frank Herbert) The Longest Day (about the WWII Normandy Invasion) Paschendale (about the Battle of Passchendaele during WWI) That should give you plenty of material. Happy New Year Biss

I'm 53 and am going to see Iron Maiden at a number of shows in the USA from Aug -Oct of 2022...I can't wait! If you want classic Maiden listen to anything off the live Lp "Live After Death" Was recorded live at Long Beach Arena in Long Beach California in the mid-80's on the "Powerslave" tour witch went on for all most 2 years. I was at the long beach show and it was incredible. Everytime I've seen them going all the way back to the record "Killers" and "Number of the Beast" Never once have I seen a bad show, not once. You also ask about the drums use in the Disturbed video.....those are Tiffani drums.

Metal fans are, special, we listen to music that rarely if ever gets air, radio or TV coverage. Ours is the music that people go, "Oh I listen to anything but not the heavy screaming" or "I don't like that it's just screaming". When you listen to metal you enter a community, it can be weird, everyone has their favourites, but generally a metal fan supports another metal fan and all the bands, because metal is the music grafted out from the devoted fans. Try this song for another live fan experience Sabaton En Livstid I Krig kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jaijZqpitdzdloE.html&ab_channel=Sabaton.

The reason they are so energetic even at their age is that their music keeps them going, imagine knowing that millions of people around the World are waiting for you to come and perform for them, if that does not get you out of bed nothing will, basically the pleasure they give is what keeps them energised.

Iron Maiden is known as a 'sing a long' band wherein the audience all sing along to every song. Best start w/ their most popular song and go from there: Hallowed Be Thy Name, The Number of the Beast, Wasted Years, The Trooper, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Aces High, Powerslave, and The Evil That Men Do are all classic hits among many more. (I'm sure this is enough to get you started. Check out many of these songs from their concert: live from Hammersmith 1982 for best of Bruce in his prime (vocals).

Great reaction. Like Metallica, Iron Maiden are a live band. By that I mean the studio albums will always be good, but the live performances exceptional. They developed in a time when radio wouldn't play metal and there wasn't yet mtv or certainly metal on mtv. They grew their fanbase through live shows and kids trading cassettes. This is why they say Iron Maiden concert has no audience, just 60,000 backing singers. Hallowed be Thy Name is an awesome song to react to

With Maiden, any song is some of incredible, especially live... Hell on Earth from the last album is one of theme... And not only from Iron Maiden, songs from the singer Bruce Dickinson solo career are fantastic.

More songs from Iron Maiden...OMG, that's a long list.🤣 They don't disappoint. Maiden, a band almost as old as me, is Maiden.. expect the unexpected from them.. except for awesome vocals, drums, guitar, bass and storytelling..they are master's at that.🤟

Hallo Biss, nice reaction! Yes, the boys are old but young in the soul! They are between 62 and 69 years old! Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer, he is 62 and Pilot too! He is the Pilot by “Ed Force One“ Boeing 747, this is the Plane from the Band! Up the Irons and Grüße aus München!
