I was never a Miley fan, but as she gets older I kinda can see where she is going, and I'm slowly starting to like her. The song is catchy, nothing great but still a good bop. The mv is pure Miley. I think she just loves being naked. And that is perfectly ok! She is a bit irritating, on the nose, provocateur.. but, in the end I think, purely herself. I love those little dance breaks! No coreo, just vibing. Feels pure & authentic. The whole video is about self-care, and I'm 100% here for it.

Completely agree! The last couple of years I’ve become a fan, especially of her covers and collabs on more rock genre type of songs! She’s definitely got the voice to carry it.

Liam and Miley's home in LA actually burnt down. This whole song is about her failed relationship with her husband. They were on again..off again for 10 years. Love this song and is inspiring after crawling out of a long term, challenging relationship.

It’s about Liam, her ex. She wore the gold outfit like Jennifer Lawrence did on the red carpet w Liam (who he hooked up with on hunger games) the green suit is what Liam wore on the red carpet with Miley when he told her to behave herself. The chorus is from a Bruno Mars song Liam dedicated to her. Her house with Liam burned down in a Cali fire & she released this song on Liam’s bday. Liam Hemsworth that is… She had throat surgery bc she had Reinke’s edema…got sober after that. Her voice changed after the surgery.

I saw her at an iHeartRadio festival concert in Vegas years ago when her song Wrecking Ball was popular. She started crying during it and I people were saying that it was about Liam Hemsworth and they had broken up. I guess they got back together and broke up for good. Looking at other comments this song was about him. Interesting using Bruno Mars song If I Was Your Man in it.

The Dance at the end is The Jokers Dance. The Joker was Liams fave movie. The house is where Liam took all 14 woman he allegedly cheated with. The whole song was symbolism from their relationship.

There’s a sneaky sample in the backing that comes in when she sings “I can take myself dancing” of the string section of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive”! Maybe that’s the familiar sound you’re hearing.

Lee if you think it sounds familiar go listen to Bruno Mars "When I Was Your Man" her lyrics in the chorus are the opposite to Bruno's and the music is the same (apparently no admission sampled to date) if you look at the writers, producers, arrangers they have all worked with the top artists Sheeran, Styles Beyoncé and many more, it's an ok song but I truly believe releasing the song with the video got it to number one, most top viewed/streamed songs have the artists half naked, probably more people looking at Miley than listening to the song, maybe that's why most females sound and look the same today.

This song gets a whole another layer if you listen to it as a response video to Bruno Mars' "When I Was Your Man". Some will tell you she plagiarized him, but I think it was genius how she took his story and presented the other point of view of what he sang about.

Hey Lee! Hope you're doing fine. This song is kind of a "sweet diss track" 🤭🤭 to her Ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. Apart from the things others have already said here (like the chorus that is melodically and lyrically similar to Bruno Mars' "when I was your man" -which was completely intentional for the reasons already mentioned-), in the chorus there is also a violin sounding in the background with the tone of Gloria Gaynor's "I will survive"... Definitely, this year seems to be the year of the diss songs (and we are all enjoying the controversies and stories developping around them 😆😆😆😆). Greetings from Venezuela! 😁

Ok Miley is good here ! Got to tell you back in her Hannah Montana days when it was about her singing liked her more ! These days lots of other distractions seems to make her vocals take a back seat ! You should check out a young lady that still does it old school ! A live cover of Flowers, just her and her guitar, no production number just this young ladies pure talent to grab your attention, and a rich raspy voice just like Miley ! I have to be honest that, other than Wrecking Ball, I couldn't name another song. I only clicked on this because of your tagline on the thumbnail. But I love the women empowerment message here and of loving yourself (and, at times in your life, that IS ENOUGH). She does have a very unique and strong voice, she is absolutely stunning and, quite frankly, if I had her physique, I'd be scantily clad or naked all of the time too, @suvijii841. 😉
