I'm not surprised you've never heard of them. There's another American reactor. She explained it brilliantly why Americans have absolutely no idea about music in Europe. It's sad really, cause Nightwish is a huge name in rock and metal.I'm glad I live in Europe. Also, 'wtf just happened' faces of people seeing them for the first time? never gets old😀

The "very interesting and creative mind" that you refer to is that of Tuomas Holopainen aka The Metal Mozart - seen hear on keyboards. He composes pretty much all of the Nightwish material. You're in for a real musical treat with this band and indeed the solo material of their incredible vocalist Floor Jansen.
