This was their first live in US in 2016 I think, not the one in Yokohama Arena in 2020. The show in Yokohama they performed was a much bigger stage. Great performance and great reaction anyway!

“Wagakki” essentially means “traditional instruments”. The band was founded by the singer, SUZUHANA Yuko. The “lute” thing is a Shamisen. The “harp” thing is a Koto. The “flute thing” is a shakuhachi. Yes, you’ve heard these instruments a million times, in movie soundtracks, when they want to convey a Japanese atmosphere. What can I say? America may be the land of innovation in tech, but in music no one here cares any more. All the action has moved to Europe and Japan. Hello, thank you for the nice reaction to Wagakki Band. The ensemble consists of 2 women and 6 men, all of whom are virtuosos of their instruments. They are very diverse, they play in many musical genres, from metal, through folk, jazz to pop. They always compose and arrange songs very well, their style is unique. They sound wonderfully acoustic. Better to watch them perform live. This is not from Yokohama arena. This is from the 1st Us tour "Deep impact" at The House of blues 2016 I think Apart from that, they are all masters on their instruments and have released 6 albums and 2 Ep. Shamisen, not banjo, flat string instrument = Koto, Japan Drums = Taiko, Flute = Shakuhachi, very difficult to play, I have one, but I mostly play guitar.......
