No matter how many times I see the ending of the movie Selena. I can’t help getting so emotional. It’s like I knew her personal. I was her fan during the 90’s as a teenager and as now and forever. Selena’s spirit will be on Earth forever as long we all remember her from her past, present and future fans. Selena will be turning 50 years old next month on April 16, 2021. Happy Birthday Selena!!! #Selenaforever🌹💜🌹

26 years later, it still hurts pretty deep. I still get emotional every time I see this. She should be 50 years old today. Enjoying not only motherhood but also grandchildren. It makes me very sad she didn't get to do all of that. When you're 53 and thinking Selena was only 23. She was still a child at 23. Just barely starting adulthood. That's just how I feel about it all.

Selena wanted to make a English Album but the record company said she needed to gain more exposure in the Spanish market. When she finally got super popular they allowed her to make an English Crossover Album. This was a dream of hers since childhood, sadly she never lived to see this dream come true. Her English crossover album (Dreaming of You) was released posthumously.

Fun fact: she sang dreaming of you !the ending of the movie music is her dreaming of you song ! Which she recorded it 4 weeks before her death

Definitely was no accident. She killed her on purpose so that her name would be forever linked to Selena. I cried again and I’ve seen the movie many many times. The significance of the ring was that she was giving it back to her and breaking all ties with her and then Yolanda would be a nobody. I like the fact that there is so many people reacting to her music and this movie that weren’t even born in her lifetime. She will always live forever in our hearts. Gone but will never ever be forgotten.

Her fan club president (who was her obsessed stalker fan) was embezzling money from the club. Fans werent getting their fan club items even though they sent in money and Abraham realized what was happening. After being confronted a few times, and having denied it each time, she finally contacted Selena again and told her to meet her at her motel room to resolve what’s been going on. An argument ensued, probably a threat to call the police over the issue and Yolanda pulled out a gun. As Selena opened the motel door to run, Yolanda called her a b*%?# and shot her in the back using a hollow point round that tore through and destroyed a main blood vessel in her upper back/shoulder area. Selena ran almost 500 feet to the front desk bleeding profusely (the running caused even more bleeding) and told the workers who shot her before she passed out. When EMT attempted to revive her using all measures possible, they couldn’t due to the massive blood loss having collapsed her blood vessels. She died from her injury.

What I'm thinking is Selena was hit in the artery, especially since they said the gunshot wound was in the shoulder region. It's why she bled out so quickly. Yolanda became the most hated woman that went to prison for a long time. I heard she was recently released. She DEFINITELY had to go into hiding, because I haven't heard about her since then. If you watch Yolanda's 1998 interview, she acts like it was all an accident and claims innocence when she not only pointed a gun at, but SHOT a fleeing unarmed woman who was her friend. It sickens me how she thinks she did nothing wrong. I first found out about Selena's death in 1997, when I first heard her music. I was five years old. I was sad for a very long time and the pain is still there today. She was so young. Her whole life was ahead of her.

We all bawled like babies at the end of the movie. Still f’s up my spirit that Selena is no longer here with us anymore. I miss her a lot like I knew her personality 😞♥️

Hey kid, first of all, everyone cries. I saw this in Spanish class back in 1997 and we didn’t get to finish it and I had to buy it on vhs. Well saw the ending at 16 years old, I’m 39 now. Yes I cried, everyone cries.

That is still saddening to watch it, a million times.

Yolanda was a Narcissist who was super obsessed with Selena. A snake , a wolf in sheep's clothing. Somehow Yolanda was granted the opportunity to work with her idol. Befriended Selena the whole time. For her to say she was Selena best friend yeah maybe in her head it was. Selena's designer found out sometime before her death that Yolanda had everything you can think of of Selena in her home. Pictures hats shirts ect. All the walls were filled with pics. And yes it was definitely on purpose Selena being the sweet beautiful empath trust her with everything just so that Yolanda could take her life in the end . Yolanda knew she was wrong for stealing money and lying to everyone. So her being the Narcissist thinking if my whole world is leaving me then nobody can have her . Selfish !!! RIP The Great the beautiful Selena ❣️❣️❣️❣️

i see this movie i think 1999 in vhs and i still cry till this day when i see this movie ending She's soo precious kindhearted woman such a young age didn't experience being a mom i wish she survive the shooting

What was crazy was Selena spoke only English, her dad taught her to speak Spanish and they were worried when she performed in Mexico they wouldn’t accept her but instead the people of Mexico loved her and when she came to the USA everyone loved her.

Selena’s murder was not accidental. Yolanda “best friend” was in charge of handling Selena’s money for her Boutique and then Yolanda started stealing the money. When Selena and her Father found out, Yolanda disappeared for days and then randomly called Selena and told her to meet her at a hotel. Selena went to the hotel room alone and got into an argument with Yolanda and fired her for stealing the money. Yolanda didn’t like that and shot Selena. Selena was only 23 years old when she died😔💔🕊

That was a damn good movie. I've seen it on HBO for the first time back in '98. Her and Eazy-E died on the same week. 5 days apart

Selena Quintanilla was murdered by the president of her fan club on March 31, 1995. She was only 23 years old. Yolanda Saldivar was the manager of Selena's boutiques and fan club. She had embezzled 60,000 from both the boutiques and fan club. The Quintanilla family confronted her but she denied everything. Selena was doing taxes and needed important documents that were in Yolanda's possession. On March 31, 1995 Yolanda told Selena to meet her at the Days Inn Motel by herself. Both women argued in the motel room, Selena then said that Yolanda couldn't be trusted and fired her on the spot. Yolanda pulled out a gun. As Selena fled the room, Yolanda shot her once in the lower right shoulder. This severed a major artery causing massive blood loss. Selena ran to the lobby, leaving a trail of blood 392 ft long. She clutched her chest screaming "Help me! Help me! I've been shot!", Saldivar chased after her. Selena collapsed in the lobby, her last words were "Yolanda.......(room) 158". An ambulance arrived in one minute and 55 seconds. They took her to the hospital and made heroic actions to save her life but the damage was irreparable, she was pronounced dead at 1:05 pm (CST). Doctors have said if the bullet had been one millimeter higher or lower, then the wound would be less severe and that she would probably still be alive today. Yolanda had a 9 hour standoff with the police, she threatened to commit suicide. She turned herself in after. She was charged with 1st degree murder. Yolanda Saldivar will be eligible for parole in 2025.

Want some back story, Selena was a loving person but young and unfortunately a little naive. Well Yolanda her fan club President started stealing from her and when she met her at a motel room to prove her innocence, she found out she indeed was a thief and left her and when Selena did, Yolanda shot her in the back 5 times. She was arrested and plead not guilty and went to trial and was indeed found guilty and I think given life in prison. It was indeed a very sad and tragic story.

Wow you know the family and myself and the rest of us here haven't seen that movie because of the ending since the movie aired originally just because it was far too hard to see and her mother unfortunately is not emotionally strong enough to this day to Bear viewing that again. I sat here and watch this ending with you and it just brought back so much from when it happened. And the person that killed her was a friend of hers but also her fan club president and the manager of her boutiques she killed her on purpose because she was stealing money from Selena and when she was confronted she became hysterical and killed her but she lured her into that Motel first. It's a sum of what happened but I'm going to ask you to do something and hopefully you will but I'm going to send you a link to something that I would like for you to view and give your opinion on it after if you don't mind it's going to give you the whole story and what happened and once again you're one of our favorites and thank you

They argued and Yolanda shot Selena on purpose and was apprehended that evening. It was March 31st 1995 and Selena died from massive blood loss later in the hospital. The bullet hit a crucial artery when Selena was shot. I miss her every day. And I wasn't even born yet (I was born April 27th of that year.) Selena was a little naiive about what Yolanda was doing... but she learned real quickly what she was up to. And sadly it had a tragic ending.
