😊❤ Hi! 😅 OK to start, the band is actually from England. The original members are; Mick Fleetwood, drums, John McVie, bass guitar, Christine McVie, keyboards and vocals. That's where the name came from. The original lead guitarist was Peter Green. He left and the band discovered Lindsey Buckingham. He and Stevie Nicks were a duo and he said if they wanted him, it was a package deal; they had to bring Stevie too. And the Fleetwood Mac that became the ginormous sensation was born!! So, you might notice by the names John and Christine McVie were married. Stevie and Lindsey had been together for years. But by the time they were working on the 'Rumors' album ALL of them were splitting up!! Unfortunately for them but they created some of their best music during that time. This song was aimed at Lindsey for being unfaithful, so was 'Silver Springs' a gorgeous song! For that watch the live performance from 'The Dance' tour!! OMG! Stevie is relentless by the end!! You could cut the tension between her and Lindsey with a knife!! Another must see song is 'Rhiannon' the 1976 performance on the Midnight Special!! Another banger where Stevie goes off!! 😮😅 Their catalog is so huge! I will leave with one more recommendation; 'The Chain'. All five members worked on this together. Each had pieces of song ideas and they pulled it all together and created yet another masterpiece!! I think the star of this one is Lindsey Buckingham on lead guitar!! He has an amazing solo!! I would again recommend the live version from 'The Dance' tour, they are just unbelievable live!! 😊❤❤

Lindsey Buckingham, guitarist, and Christine McVie, keyboard, also sang lead on a lot of great songs with Fleetwood Mac. Go Your Own Way by Buckingham is arguably the band’s best song. McVie sings lead on Don’t Stop. Each sang lead on others hits as well. Stevie had the more successful solo career, and had a couple strong charting duets with Don Henley, Eagles drummer and co-lead singer, called Leather and Lace and Stop Dragging My Heart around with Tom Petty. Both of those would make for great reactions.

Christine McVie is on the keyboards and backing vocals in this video. It's just so dark that you can't see her. Briefly, she was born Christine Perfect in the UK in 1943. In 1967, she joined the blues band "Chicken Shack", as the keyboard player and occasional vocalist. She sang their cover song hit "I'd Rather Go Blind". Her naturally bluesy voice led her to receive the Melody Maker Award for the UK's best vocalist in 1969 and 1970. She married Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie in 1968, and eventually left Chicken Shack to join Fleedwood Mac around 1970 as the keyboard player, lead female singer, and a songwriter. In 1974, Fleetwood Mac needed a new lead guitarist, but Lindsey Buckingham would not join the group unless they also accepted his then-girlfriend, vocalist Stevie Nicks. Christine was accepting of a second female vocalist and songwriter joining the group, and both her and Stevie became firm friends and confidants. She divorced John McVie around 1978, but kept his surname.

The most famous Fleetwood Mac album post-1974 is "Rumors". This monster-selling album contained massive hit songs from all 3 major vocalists/songwriters in the group, including "Dreams" (Stevie Nicks), "Go You Own Way" (Lindsey Buckingham), and "Don't Stop" (Christine McVie). Chistine sadly died in late 2022 at 79 years of age. Another of her songs from the Rumors album, the slow piano ballard "Songbird", was the usual closing song for all Fleetwood Mac concerts. You should listen to this. RIP Christine McVie.

Although it was the 70s and I'm pretty sure each band member had "relationships" with each other. Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks actually never got married. They did have a torrid relationship and breakup, chronicled in a number of their Fleetwood Mac hit songs, including "Go Your Own Way" and "Silver Springs". Just watch the faces of both of them when they sing these songs live onstage together....chilling.... You may have been thinking of Christine McVie. She married bassist John McVie in the late 1960s, and officially joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970. They got divorced around 1978.

Stevie was only 18 when she and boyfriend Lindsay Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac. He told the band she could write and sing but I don’t think his ego was aware of just how well she did both or that she had the magic stage presence and It factor that you need to be born with. She was the original manic pixie dream girl and every guy wanted her. From the first album they were on Fleetwood Mac blew up and Stevie became the focus and star. It wasn’t intentional, she was mesmerizing on vinyl and on stage with her unique personal style, presence and voice. Lindsay got very jealous (he thought he was the star, Mic Fleetwood who actually was the star didn’t mind at all) and being a typical guy showed his insecurity in the usual manner, screwing around and shoving it in her face. As they got more and more famous and there were a lot more drugs, Stevie started her own screwing around and for a period of time the entire band was a game of revolving beds (Stevie started with Mic Fleetwood who was obsessed with her and Christine McVie though married had long been obsessed with him). Before long both marriages in the band had broken up and although Stevie had drop kicked Lindsay he needed to save face by writing a song about how he let her go. Tensions were very high as you can imagine. Stevie was furious about the song as she’d been loyal until he wasn’t and already had her break up song Dreams on the album, which everyone knew was something special (Rumours- multiple Grammys including Record of the Year, triple platinum & still high on all greatest albums of all time lists). Everyone else was mad at each other and everyone was mad at Lindsay who was a terrible diva. Lindsay refused to finish the album or let any songs he had any writing credits on be used if he didn’t get his way. Eventually to get the album out Mic agreed and You Can Go Your Own Way made the album. The he said / she said break up songs became monster hits and because the world then was pretty exactly as it is now most people believed the guy and Stevie got slut shamed. You can see why she wasn’t happy during the tour. Find a live version of You Can Go Your Own Way to witness a talented but petty and vindictive man who doesn’t look like he has a clue that if looks could kill he’d be six feet under every time Stevie sings.

His playing made for beautiful accompaniment to the songs of his fellow band members, such as Stevie Nick's live version of "Landslide". Lindsey's singing / live solo playing at Fleetwood Mac concerts of songs he wrote for the group, including "Big Love", "Never Going Back Again", and "So Afraid", is mesmerizing. Must see videos! Fleetwood Mac was a band. Stevie Nicks was one of three members that sang lead vocals. Stevie wrote this song about her lover, the guitarist and co-singer in this video, Lindsey Buckingham. They were going through a break-up. Their 1977 album "Rumours" was written and recorded while Lindsey and Stevie, and also band members John and Christine McVie were going through a break-up. It wasn't a happy time, but it was a brutally honest album that touches a raw nerve. All three singers are fantastic. Enjoy.

They joined Fleetwood Mac as a couple. This album was written during their breakup, and a lot of other turmoil going on within the band. Yet the band stayed together, wrote these songs about their own experiences and performed as they went through all this.. the raw emotion you're seeing, it's real! Stevie Nicks took the spotlight in Fleetwood Mac when she (and guitarist/vocalist Lindsey Buckingham) joined the band in 1975 (They were a couple but they broke up by 1977) ... The band was formed originally in the UK by Mick Fleetwood (drums), John McVie (bass) and Peter Green (guitar/ vocals) in the late 60's... Peter Green suffered a mental breakdown & left soon after... John McVie married their keyboard player Christine Perfect ... and she joined Fleetwood Mac as Christine McVie in the early 70's. When Fleetwood Mac relaunched themselves w/ Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham in 1975, they became superstars overnight... Stevie Nicks was up front and got most of the attention... but Christine McVie also wrote songs and sang lead (and backup vocals) and her songs were just as big as Stevie's and Lindsey's songs... Christine's Fleetwood Mac hits include - 'Hold me' ... 'Everywhere' ... "Don't stop" ... 'You make loving fun' ... 'Little lies' ... 🔥🔥 Lindsey's songs include - 'Go your own way' ... 'Second hand news' ... 'Big love' ... "I don't want to know"... 🔥🔥He was a key producer and songwriter in Fleetwood Mac, as well as an exceptional guitar player. When Stevie Nicks launched her solo career in the 80's, her drug addictions were affecting her presence in the studio w/ Fleetwood Mac... Christine McVie was not as prolific as Stevie and sang on the side of the stage while playing keyboards... while Stevie was more charismatic up front... She and Stevie bonded as they both split w/ their partners in the 70's... Christine divorced John McVie but no one would leave Fleetwood Mac while their career was peaking, so there was a lot of tension and drug abuse on and offstage. Lindsey Buckingham quit Fleetwood Mac in 1988(?) and that led to a physical altercation w/ Stevie Nicks... Lindsey eventually rejoined in 1997... but Christine McVie left the band in 1999. In 2014, Christine McVie was welcomed back to Fleetwood Mac after she expressed desire to rejoin the band to tour again... In 2017, she released the studio album 'Buckingham/ McVie' w/ Lindsey Buckingham... Christine McVie passed away in 2022 from cancer (R.I.P.) Stevie Nicks paid tribute to her late friend and bandmate at her solo concerts.

I just saw Stevie Nicks just last year at a huge venue (it was the day The Queen died, she spoke about that). At 74 she still looked and sounded fantastic! She has always had that witchy, gothy aesthetic that has increased over the years. Her look and songs have evolved into lots of witchy songs

Please, please react to Fleetwood Mac Midnight Special 'Rhiannon' - it's breathtakingly fantastic! Also, "Silver Springs" live at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, CA in May 1997 is really superb. Another recommendation is "Never Going Back Again" performed by Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham (Live on PBS in Boston 2004) and well as the very moving "Say Goodbye" (Live '05) HD. Lastly, I'd say you'll find Fleetwood Mac - Landslide (Official Music Video) [HD] incredibly moving. My favourite band of all time. The musicianship, lyrics, vocals and everything in between is simply magical. 🥰

Rhiannon Live on Midnight Special! You're missing out! Fleetwood Mac was fueled by two very public break-ups within the band at the same time...and drugs, can't leave out the drugs. But it turned out to be like a perfect storm musically. The emotions they were all feeling towards each other got imprinted onto tape for all time, I think lending itself to the honesty and rawness and any other emotion you can think of, that they made the listeners feel. Also try "Landslide", "Gold Dust Woman", "Go Your Own Way", "The Chain", "Tusk" live in 1997 (called the "official" video now) with some special guests at the end is always fun lol. Also, I'd like to bring up some later FM, like from this millenia that no one else brings up, like "Come", "Miranda" and "Bleed To Love Her".

Seen Fleetwood Mac live twice. The last one was with all the Original band members and was about 3-4 years before Christie McVie passed away. I can tell you it was one of the best concerts I’ve seen live… and I’ve seen my fair share.

Rhiannon is another Fleetwood Mac song. Christine McVie wrote and sang some of their best songs: Little Lies, Everywhere, You Make Loving Fun, Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow and others. She was the hit-maker.

Stevie's voice is like a warm hug on a cold day. This is the sound of my early twenties and it takes me right back. See "the Mac" live twice, two of the best concerts ever for me.

You gotta do "silver springs" live from the 1997 the dance tour next please, you will see stevies other side of her, calling her ex out right in front of him also its like this video but Stevie really gets hyped out in a shouting song and her facial expressions toward Lindsey is like something never seen before, you will be amazed that the band even stayed together for as long as they did considering all the band dramas!

"Gold Dust Woman" and "Never Going Back Again" are probably my faves. "Don't Stop" is a popular one. "The Chain" is another great breakup song. "Songbird" is a beautiful Christine McVie song.

Rhiannon was a white witch from Welsh Mythology. The whole book series was translated to English by the late Evangeline Walton, who I had the pleasure of visiting for an afternoon here in The Baked Apple (Tucson,Arizona). Interestingly,Evangeline had a condition that made her skin a beautiful, pastel blue…

Per Wikipedia, "Stevie Nicks wrote the song in early 1976 at Record Plant studio in Sausalito, California. "One day when I wasn't required in the main studio," remembers Nicks to Blender magazine, "I took a Fender Rhodes piano and went into another studio that was said to belong to Sly Stone, of Sly and the Family Stone. It was a black-and-red room, with a sunken pit in the middle where there was a piano, and a big black-velvet bed with Victorian drapes." "I sat down on the bed with my keyboard in front of me," continues Nicks. "I found a drum pattern, switched my little cassette player on and wrote 'Dreams' in about 10 minutes. Right away I liked the fact that I was doing something with a dance beat, because that made it a little unusual for me."

this song is about her breaking up with the guitar player Lindsey Buckingham who is also one of the singers and writrers. He wrote "go your own way" about HER and it ROCKS. Anyway dreams is .anything but a happy song. "like a heartbeat drives you mad in the stillnes of remembering what you had" BTW Stevie and all 3 writer singers can def be happy and rock out. Try The Chain yet.

I am 70 yrs old and I love your channel and reactions particularly the old school rock and music of 60’s, 70’s 80’s and 90’s. I do love music of all genres and will check out some rap and hip hop music. I just might get a vibe from it. Please do a reaction of Westbound No 9 when you get a chance by the Glowing Embers. The lyrics are humorous. Good luck with your success from an old southern chick who’s still rockin’.

Also there are plenty of songs by Christine Mcvee she sings some magical songs also,Songbird, oh daddy, Everywhere, you make loving fun, can't name them all beautiful songwriter and singer, she was married to the bass player John Mcvee they were also having problems within the Rumors Album,so was Mick Fleetwood with his wife, one helluva album came from all this turmoil, they all believed their music came first hence, the chain the song that would always keep them together all of them helped write that one '🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🤘🎶

The 2nd lady was Christine McVie. She also had a solid if not somewhat unremarkable solo career after Fleetwood Mac & continued to perform into the 2020s. She passed away Nov '22. The history of all the Fleetwood Mac members in the 70s is an amazing story.
