Lou Gramm is a legend singer in his own category. Nobody like him and such a talent. Foreigner made a lot of great classics. Very glad you went there.

4:45-Donna, it's a nice live performance, but the studio version was a lot cleaner. Now the sax player on this ain't chopped liver-But he also ain't Motown legend Jr. Walker, who played on the original.and also had Billboard top 10 hits of his own, including the number 1# "Shotgun" More Foreginer? Try " Starrider" I thnk Lulu would love it.

The studio version is really good .The live sounds so different…but this is very good band from my past .

I agree the studio version sounds great. I don't know when all of these reaction channels started to listen to live only performances. There must be something about right to use. Live performances are good too but usually sound different from the initial studio recording.

I was actually thinking this version sounds really good because the two times I saw foreigner I wasn’t that impressed by the live performance. But this is really good.

'Urgent' was from the album '4' by Foreigner in 1981... It was produced by AC/DC, Heart, and Def Leppard producer Robert John 'Mutt' Lange... who later launched the career of one country superstar Shania Twain in the 90's and was married to her for a while... Foreigner was essentially British guitarist Mick Jones and American singer Lou Gramm... Years later, the 2 parted ways and Mick Jones formed a new version of Foreigner in the 2000's w/ singer Kelly Hansen.

Definitely another great band from my youth! They may be still performing in some assembly of members, but lead singer Lou Gramm, one of the best to ever do it, and founder/lead guitarist Mick Jones had some disagreements and Lou left the band quite some time ago…and from what a recall, his voice isn’t up to the job anymore, anyway. Kelly Hanson has done a good job in his absence since then but it’s not the same, in my opinion…..Lou Gramm’s voice and presence is the main characteristic of the band, I think. Great band with a lot of great songs that are now classics! Hot Blooded, Dirty White Boy and, possibly my favorite, Double Vision, are a few more of their songs to react to!

Saw Foreigner last summer, but there was no original member there. Lou Gramm tours on his own. He lives around the corner from my daughter.

Great rock singer. Reminds me of Paul Rogers from "Bad Company". Another great traditional Rock band. Keep it up ladies, going good.

This was my favorite band from the '70s & '80s ; Journey coming in at a close 2nd. I saw them live in Greensboro, NC for both, the tours for the album "4" & "Agent Provocateur" (1982 & 1985 if memory serves me right). Both albums had a ballad....unusual for Foreigner, but none-the-less, some of their finest performances as my favorite, "WAITING FOR A GIRL LIKE YOU" (4) & "I WANT TO KNOW WHAT LOVE IS" (Provocateur) made it to no. 2 & no. 1 on the AT40 charts respectively. "Waiting" (album version) is a must listen; as a drummer since 1977, it's one of my favorite soft rock songs to play & it is the ultimate love song. Olivia Newton John's "Physical" & Hall & Oates "I Can't Go For That" held it at the no. 2 position for 10 straight weeks, otherwise it would have been their 1st #1 ballad. They were awesome in concert though - Head Games, Juke Box Hero, Hot Blooded, Cold As Ice, Feels Like the First Time - just a few of their greatest hits catalogue. By the way, I'm 57 & must be about your Dad's age; he has GREAT taste in music!!

Foreigner and Cheap Trick were the bands that I didn't know I needed greatest hits from when I grew up! Love this!!! The current lead singer was in a band called Hurricane in the 80's who my band used to open for. Hurricane had a hit called I'm On To You. The guitarist and bassist in that band were the brothers of guys in Quiet Riot. Great memories. Awesome reaction gals!!! Love your channel and the generational reactions. It sets you apart from others and it awesome!!! GO BOSTON BRUINS!!! 🍻🤟👏

Foreigner were a great American rock band along with Styx ( Tommy Shaw ) version, Bon Jovi when they played rock, Boston and the best of them all Alice Cooper.

The singer Lou Graham is a little rough singing this. Maybe he sung a bunch of songs already. He sung this song a lot better when I saw him at the Universal Amphitheater by Universal Studios.

..yes , "Live" sounds different , a little "messy" and urgent.. Studio version is better . And if You do NOT know the Band : You do know this song : " I want to know what Love is" made more famous by Mariah Carey... Wrote : by Foreigner
