"Lets make the ancient city my home" LOL what a chad thig to say xD

It’s so eerie compared to other encounters. The Nether had distinguishing mobs and the end is also predictable. But the cities are quiet, clicking, listening.

The shriekers (the blocks that can summon the warden if activated) use a system of warnings. Every time a player sets one off, their warning is increased by one. Once a player reaches 4 warnings, or sets a shrieker off while already on 4, a Warden spawns. The Warden spawning doesn't reset back the warning to zero, so if you get far away from the first and aren't careful enough, a second can very much spawn. Furthermore, warnings are specific to each player, so you could very much trigger 4 different shriekers, and the 4th one will still summon the Warden. The only way to get rid of these warnings is to wait (although you can totally do other tasks in the process), as warning takes 10 minutes to decrease by one, making it a 40 minutes wait to have your warnings reset once you did spawn the Warden. However, if you trigger a shrieker in the meantime, then the timer resets back to 10 minutes and your warning increases by 1 anyways, so be sure to either wait the full 10 minutes, if you decide to wait at all. One thing that I feel like would be useful, is going into accessibility settings and turn on "show subtitles". They not only keep you informed of all sounds going on around you, but also help you keeping track on your warning, only when it gets increased by one however: If after activating a shrieker, you read a sound named *"Warden approaches"*, it means you are now on warning *1*. If you read *"Warden advances"*, you are now on warning *2*. If you read *"Warden draws close"*, you are now on warning *3*. And of course, when you see "Warden emerges", you are on warning 4, and the sound indicates you it just spawned. Once that happens, you have exactly 7 seconds to run away before it can start sniffing and detecting noises.

I was never expecting the warden to be as scary as it was. Then i met one face to face in a new world me and my friends started. I had been exploring a lush cave then a creeper blasted me off a ledge and i fell for a LONG time. Saved myself with a water bucket last minute, i started to tell my friends "i think i found the deep dark" while surrounded by skulk blocks and sensors, and placed a torch...and heard the screechers go off. Built myself into a box and told my friends to get to me on a map and dig down and save me because i wasnt moving from that spot, which was a mistake. I heard a warden spawn and then lumbering toward me, he destroyed my box with a sonic blast and i started running. I looked back one time and he head butted me into a pool of lava at mach speed after emerging from the darkness he summoned. It genuinely jumpscared me harder than when i was playing any recent horror games. I sat there freshly respawned next to my bed at the caves mouth and just started laughing. I had NEVER been scared by a video game that much

my first time in an ancient city was seriously one of the scariest gaming moments i've had. surprised me how much it got to me haha. when you're alone in the dark at night (irl) ancient cities r nuts.

Things required for the ancient city: 1) WOOL wool is the skulk s somewhat natural enemy. Unlike other blocks it does not let vibrations pass and you can put it around the shriekers to prevent them from calling the warden 2) A hoe it clears out skulk quickly for a lot of XP and help you make quick work of sensors and shriekers 3) Throwable objects SNOWBALL EGG ARROWS they help you distract the wardenif he emerges (but if you throw more than three he will pinpoint via vibrations where you are. 4) In case of warden encounter Night Vision potions and Spectral arrows will help you see him better in case you really have to face him (along with full netherite prot 4 of course)

The secret to having the Warden NOT mess with you is to go down in the Ancient City (or almost any Deep Dark biome that has shriekers) wearing a Chuck Norris mask. LoL... but what confused me.... "Ancestry" wasn't playing? That's the amazing deep dark mood music that I'm certain you've heard by now, but... instead happy jingles. Well, in the end you almost made it up your ladders... cheers.

I dont think ancient city is rare, I feel like most mountains have ancient city under it. Fun video anyway!!
