First time trying INDONESIAN FOOD! 🇮🇩 😍 (Martabak, Bakso Ayam)

Күн бұрынIn today's vlog we visit the beautiful Tegenungan Waterfalls near Ubud, Bali.
We then visited Ubud's oldest restaurant (Murni's Warung) for dinner where we try some authentic Indonesian dishes including Beef Rendang, Tipat Cantok, Sate and Bakso Ayam (Obama's favourite food apparently).
After dinner we had to try the local street food desert Martabak and it did not disappoint.

That’s called ‘ketupat’ is like sticky rice, bakso (meatballs) is comfort food suitable in this rainy season, kudos to both of you never afraid to try local delicacies 💯

Warung Murni's is one of my faves in Ubud. There's another place with a great view of a small waterfall, it's called warung Layana. Btw, that boiled rice is called tipat in Balinese hence the name tipat cantok, it's called lontong in bahasa Indonesia.

@matthew winoto saya baru tau kalo bakso di Bali dimakan dengan semacam lontong/rice cake sebagai tambahan. Kalo saya di jakarta, makan bakso kalo ingin biar kenyang, yaa ditambah nasi.

When you trying martabak manis next time, you should order the "coklat kacang" (chocolate peanut) flavor once. It's the most favorite topping for locals after cheese, including mine

Nice video. Have you tried the savory Martabak(telor)? It's my favourite. Definitely a must, please visit Padang restaurant (amazing food serve in several small plates, you pay only what you eat). Enjoy your stay, be safe and healthy.

In each city at Indonesia there are many different special food . Example special food at Bali are sate lilit, babi guling, ayam betutu, klewer. At east java special food are tahu tek2, lontong balap, rujak cingur, semanggi, bebek madura, soto lamongan. At Yogyakarta is gudeg. At jakarta are soto betawi, ketoprak, nasi goreng kambing. At lombok is ayam taliwang. At NTT is sei babi. And soo many else 😁 if you like bakso at java is more delicious because in java made from beef cow.

I think you should try 'Ayam Taliwang' it's a kind of fried chicken with local flavor, specifically Balinesse food.. have a good stay in Bali.

Ayam Taliwang is Lombok cuisine actually.. But yeah you can find ayam Taliwang in Bali. They're neighbors anyway. Balinese food includes sate lilit, babi guling, lawar, etc.

Both of you should also try beef meatballs, but on the island of Bali where the people are mostly Hindus and they don't eat beef then you can try it on the island of Java. Indonesia is very wide and has thousands of islands and also thousands of dishes that you can taste and visit next time.
