Күн бұрынIn this video, we are trying unique Thai desserts and foods in Old Siam area! 💛 A lot of first time items (many items we liked and some we didn't like at all 😅) 💙 Our first time visiting Old Siam Plaza, Little India, Flower Market and also a cafe that you MUST VISIT when you're in this area. ANOTHER FUN DAY in Bangkok, Thailand! Bangkok has a lot of history and we learned little bit more about Thailand and made us appreciate more of what Thailand has to offer.

The Old Siam is catering for local elderly / middle aged population. The food is great and the goods are just they way they remembered it from their younger days. Also if you are catering aunties and your food sucked then you won't survive :D

You went to the right place for traditional Thai food and sweet. The Old Siam originally is known for traditional Thai costume and jewelry, but, you can also find some rare Thai dessert here.

The place you passed by before the flower market was a temple called Wat Rachaburana. It’s small but over 200 years old.

@@ChovyTravel well most of original structures were destroyed during WW II by air bombs because the electricity generating facility that was the real target is next to the temple. The oldest structure left is the stupa and it’s close to 200 years old. 😊

15:52 This one is an old Thai dessert since The Ayutthaya Kingdom called "Thong Eak" (Gold One), it is made from wheat flour, sugar, egg yolk and coconut milk. Mix and stirred fry with low fire until it became thick then pour in mold. Take out from mold and smoked with fragrance candle, decorated with pure gold leaf on the top. Many Thai's desserts in Ayutthaya era were created by a foreign lady "Marie Guimar". She was a Japanese man's wife who served as noble man to Ayutthaya's king. This dessert is one of her creation.

16:12 Don't worried if you don't like any those desserts guys, many Thai people especially young age don't like any of those as well 😂 it's a very old and traditional Thai desserts recipe mostly middle and very old age Thai still love it these day.

A mungbean one, named LookChoop, is the all-time favourite. The last one with a crown shape is called Jarmongkut and this one is a very old thai dessert and was only consumed only in a royal court/palace. However, it can taste a bit strange. Enjoy Thailand!

The mung bean one that you like is called ‘Look Shoop’, and actually it is mashed green beans. They are formed into fruit figures like mango, orange or even chilli, then coated with agar.

I would definitely recommend you guys to get a portable small hand fan that you can hold, it's around 100-250 THB and you can recharge it. Since it's very hot out in Thailand right now😅

The first snack , crispy crepe, you had it before at Siam Paragon. Many other snacks you had them at Ari area before as well.

yellow small fruit is Goose berry. we plant on the North of Thailand (cooler weather) normally, it is expensive fruit selling on Dec-Feb. half kg. about Thb 300 -400. So the price you paid is very cheap price. This fuit is high Vitamin C & A.

Not many café in Thailand serves hot coffee with ice-cream. Even I'm Thai, I've never found it. My first time that I had hot coffee with ice-cream, it was in Krakow, Poland. This menu is quite popular there, especially in summer. But they serve only one formula

We have GLN Scan (Korean). I don’t think US has that. Thai bank, you need certain requirements to meet.

Literally doubtful whether how can you deal with the sweltering weather being hit BKK, approx,40C+ or so which is no joke for foreigners who get used to cold weather,evidently when you departed from indoor markets,filming your video then passed through the alley ways with no sign of exhaustion,let me know how can you get away with it????LOLs

Honestly, we thought we were gonna die between the alley ways 🥵🥵🥵. Thank goodness for the gooseberries, indoor stores with a/c. We definitely DO NOT recommend people doing what we did. We also, stay hydrated as much as we can even when we’re full 😁😂🙏.

아… 태국 전통 디저트가 궁금하셨구나! 😄 녹두랑 코코넛이 들어있는 디저트는 맛있었어요 근데 몇가지는 저희 입맛에는 안맞더라구요. 그래도 태국 오시면 드셔보시는거 추천해요! 디저트도 종류가 정말 많아서 골고루 드셔보시면 좋아하시는거 여러가지 찾으실수 있을거에요 😉👍

The market that you guys were in towards the end of the video is a wholesale market. If you go there after midnight, there will be another set of sellers. Goods and stuff will be even cheaper.
