Looks like you visited panajim the capital/town) in the state of Goa. Lot of Portuguese influence probably reminded you of Mexico Goa is very touristy along the north side. Lots of beaches and spicy goan seafood. Check out the St Xavier’s memorial & Shanta Durga temple & Mangeshi temple.

You are spot on with bibinca .. we usually distribute it during Christmas.. there are very few places which actually know how to make them properly...

The bebinca that you'll had is a traditional goan desert , it's not a snack it must eaten in small quantities by cutting in slices. The lady in the store just made you'll buy it as a snack as it's price is more then typical snacks in goa .

I highly recommend that you visit the North Sentinel Island. It's the most pristine part of India.

Indian arabica seeds of coffee are the highest quality in the world... Bar none I always advise my friends from abroad to take a packet or two home. Especially if you are near coorg area.
