As an Air Force retiree I’m proud of BTS for entering military service on their terms. This video/song just gets harder to watch/hear each time without being emotional. No other group cares for their fans as much as BTS does. If the other 6 members gift us a farewell for now song like this, we won’t be able to handle it. Lord help us all if they do!

Chris’ speech about Jin & BTS already got me emotional, but when Jin stepped on that stage I lost it! I’ve never cried so much during a performance and I’ve rewatched this performance and played the M/V on loop countless times and I’m still crying. The feels hit so hard! I'm Argentinian and I was there (I still can't believe it). I travel 622 miles to Buenos Aires to see Jin. I had tickets for Coldplay's show but not for this night so I traveled before I have planned without tickets and thank God I got one there the day of the concert! I met so many Armys there. Jin is a huge Coldplay fan and he's the one who originally suggested and initiated the entire Coldplay collaboration, starting with BTS's cover of Fix You on MTV. This is truly his dream collaboration and I'm so happy they became friends. 💜 (If you listen to My Universe you might have trouble picking out Jin's voice because he duets with Chris for a lot of it and their voices sound insanely alike in it. Oh wow, I am so so so much more thankful for Coldplay now for introducing the boys to you guys, I didn’t know that’s how you found out about them! I have immense respect for Chris, Guy, Jonny and Will not only because of the fantastic music they make but also because they’ve been so accommodating of the boys and so OPEN-MINDED to the experience. I’m sure you guys can tell but not many Western artists are ready to jump into collaborations with BTS because of the cultural and language barriers. Coldplay is one of the few who were courageous and just HUMAN enough to do that. As an Asian myself it really means a lot to see that barrier being broken down by them. Apart from that, goodness, the Coldplay fandom has been so exceedingly nice 😢 I want to give them all a hug because they’ve been supporting us ARMYs so much whenever we have award shows and voting to do, and we make sure to do it in return for them! When My Universe happened we all started making friends with each other and passing our respective band’s content back and forth. Overall, I’m just so happy and grateful this collaboration happened and that we all get to witness it. It speak volumes about unity and acceptance- so much more than they think.

To Summer's comment when Chris & Jin hugged, that Jin is like a little brother -- that's not only perceptive, but literally true! In Korea, there is a specific word for males with older male friends that must be used to show respect: 'hyung', which means 'older brother'. Jin is the eldest in BTS, therefore all the other members must address him with this title, and in other BTS content you'll hear members constantly saying, 'Jin-hyung', or attaching 'hyung' to the end of the name of any BTS member older than any other. Jungkook, the youngest, must use it for all six of the other members (he can refer to any member simply as 'hyung', or say 'Suga-hyung'; 'Hobi-hyung', etc...JK also often instead jokingly & affectionately calls Jimin 'Jimin-sshi' which means 'Mr. Jimin'). But there is also a word for an older male to use to refer to a younger male friend: 'dongsaeng', meaning 'little brother' - but this does not need to be attached to the person's name because older ppl are higher in hierarchy and don't need to show the same language level of respect to younger ppl. So Jin just calls all his younger BTS members by their name only, with no 'dongsaeng' title attached. The symbolism throughout the MV is pretty incredible if you know the meaning. The most noticeable one is that the little girl represents ARMY. Black boxes in the crossword puzzles spells out "FOR ARMY" in braille and he fills in the words "FAMILY" "ASTRONAUT", etc in the puzzle. The braille on his neck spells "I LOVE YOU." The guitar on the chair is the guitar that was gifted to him by Chris when they met in New York. The Coldplay merch/posters in the bedroom. The news guy on TV is Chris Martin. Yes he made a cameo in the MV. A lot of scenes in the MV are direct references to scenes from various Coldplay MVs. The truck at the end represents the one in "the most beautiful moment in life era." Real ARMY will know. There's a shot in the MV where all the members of BTS is shot in and around a pickup truck. But in The Astronaut, Jin is shot driving away alone in the truck, symbolizing he's going off the the military alone without the other members. Objects in the room represent the members of BTS: RM is the books, Suga is guitar, Hobi, camera, V - Vinyls, JK - Radio, ARMY - Solar System. Nothing is as it seems in BTS MVs as it's usually incredibly deep and hides a crap ton of symbolisms.

I hope you read this just an FYI.... Jin actually flew for 36-40 hours to sing one song. The first part of his trip was a 13 hour or so flight to the USA. Then he had a several hour layover. Then he took another plane another 17 or so hours to Argentina. He was just on Suchwita with Suga explaining his trip. He said he did it for Army before going into the military. He said I'd he had more songs he would have either rented a place like RM did fir his indigo album, but since it was one song he called Chris Martin and asked if he could sing his song at their concert.

I am feeling all sorts when Jin stretched his arms out and "fly" across the stage. Chris waving him in is so symbolic on so many levels. Part of me also feel satisfied for the validation Jin can finally have in showing off his vocals. With non stop questions about lipsyncing and autotuning that a band like Coldplay WILL NEVER HAVE TO FACE. (Cameo: Chris Martin was the news anchor in the music video).

Army (fans) knew Jin was going to Argentina The company had made an announcement and anytime BTS travels there’s a lot of press at the airport taking pictures when they’re leaving Korea. and in Argentina they were people waiting there for several days camped out at the airport they had to take him out of a hidden door because he didn’t have that much security since it was just him by himself he only had minimum security normally they travel with a lot of security. There were also people camped out outside the stadium where Coldplay was going to have the concert hoping to see Jin drive pass them Argentina had to give Jin police protection to get them from one point to the other because of how many people were there. Jin posted a apology to fans on Weverse because for security reasons he had to exit in a side door at the airport. The airport was completely packed of people waiting for him in Argentina .

It was widely advertised that Jin would be there to sing that song. The stadium was sold out with Army. It was also aired live in 3,500 movie theaters across 80 countries, also filled with Army. Jin flew all that way just to sing one song but look at how much Army turned out just to hear him sing that one goodbye song. Popular opinion that Coldplay is much loved and appreciated by Army.

Coldplay will give 10 concerts here in Argentina. Jin was on 28th (same day the song was released). The tickets for all the concerts released 1 week earlier, and it was impossible to get one for 28th. My daughter went to see Coldplay on 26th... And the day after we saw Jin was there watching the concert the same day

I was there. It was the most beautiful day of my life, and watching people react to this amazing few minutes that ment the word to me and all army makes me so emotional. Thank you for reacting to this and for being so respectful and supportive. We really love Jin and BTS, so so much.

Soy una Army de Argentina 💜 el 20 de octubre Jin anunció que iba a viajar más de 40 horas para venir al show de Coldplay, un show que ya estaba casi vendido, pero ARMY en 8 días hizo hasta lo imposible para poder ver a Jin antes de su servicio militar, aun en la peor economía que estamos viviendo, viajaron de todo el país para verlo, muchas fueron estafadas en la reventa de entradas, incluso consiguieron entradas una vez el show ya había empezado. En solo una semana las fanbases de Argentina prepararon banners, una pantalla en la avenida 9 de julio promocionando The Astronaut, incluso juntaron $ para comprarle la camiseta alternativa de nuestra selección (que es morada💜) y se la hicieron llegar a través del staff. En fin, aunque las ARMY que habían allí no eran ni un tercio del total del público, en menos de 24hs se aprendieron la canción y cantaron y gritaron el nombre de "KIM SEOKJIN" con todas sus fuerzas. Jin appearance was announced a few days before and Coldplay had a live broadcast in the theaters so I actually went to it. It was really special to watch. When BTS was in Washington to visit the White House some of the members got together with Chris. Their relationship is so special!

I love how Chris gestured him forward so he could own the stage one last time and belt out "I love you!" to Army and it was so impactful. Also since Jin is the oldest in BTS, the fact he now has a hyung (older brother) to look up to is so beautiful and I love to watch them interact. 💜

LONDON CALLING 🇬🇧 They had organised for the concert to be LIVE in cinemas across the world 🌎 and I went with my ARMY friends that day in London 🇬🇧 Dressed up in our BTS merch and made gifts to give to new ARMYS we met ( it’s an ARMY thing to exchange small gift,snacks and handmade items at any BTS event ) and even transformed our ARMY bombs in to Wootteo ( Jins mascot for this song ) and OMG. Coldplay was insane ! The concert was so AMAZING / Mind blowing even in the cinema !!! and when Jin came on, me and all the ARMYS in the cinema LOST IT 😭. The place was flooded with tears. So many emotions, grateful Coldplay was willing to share their stage, happy and proud to see Jin, seeing all the ARMYS in the audience in Argentina with Jin signs and chanting his name etc The whole day was amazing. I’m ARMY not just because BTS I’m ARMY because of ARMY. No one is a stranger. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is family. And I loved sharing this day with them. Jin has said a few times he doesnt have friends within the music industry , I think thats the introvert in him , so I am happy that he and Chris have a very special bond. Chris is like his big brother in the industry and protective. You can see the how happy and proud Chris was of Jin. It was nice to see Jin step out of his comfort zone ( BTS ) and do something completely on his own. Yes he has some solo songs but they are still considered part of bts. Army is definitely proud of him right now and it was an amazing song and ill see you later song for army because he loves army and we love him. Oh and a side note about the gorilla experiment, I did it with a work workshop and yeah we had to count how many passes the group of people did with the basket ball. Out of the whole class I was the only one who caught the gorilla and got the number of passes right. The class though I had lost my mind, at first when no one got it I thought okay maybe I was seeing things but no I was right. Anyway great reaction guys loved it.

I am so grateful for that little “mess up.” Because of it, we got to hear Jin laugh and see him smile so genuinely on stage for the last time until he comes back. It’s a moment I will hold onto until he comes back to us

Thinking about others first or than yourself was a very selfless and greatest thing that people could ever do and that's Jin from the very beginning of his journey being an idol until now. what the fans were chanting was KIM SEOKJIN which is Jin's fullname! you'll often hear fans chanting their names during moments they are singing their solos or doing a cool dance break, its amazing there were enough army at that concert to actually hear their chants so clearly!
