Oh shiiit. One of the most underrated films of the 2010's. I love that Emily Blunt's character (Rita) uses a literal helicopter blade as a sword. It's so ridiculous.

That was a good reaction, kind of liked that I was surprised by that movie reaction because I didn't know what movie was next in line. Someone noted that an its an underrated film, and I would honestly say a lot people would say its definitely appreciated and well respected for being an amazing film.

Something like this crystallizes why Tom Cruise is a movie star. You want to see what Tom Cruise can really do as an actor, two of his greatest performances. One of which he was even nominated for an Oscar for best actor. “Born on the Fourth of July” (1989) “Interview With the Vampire” (1994)

Emily Blunt was actually driving the minivan pulling the caravan with Tom Cruise beside her. She said in an interview “I hear him going [quietly], ‘Brake. Brake. Brake.’ Em, brake the car! Brake the car!’ She continued, “And I left it too late and so drove us into a tree, and I almost killed Tom Cruise.”

Wonderful reaction to a great movie! I would suggest "The Last Samurai," also starring Tom Cruise. An entirely different role for him, probably his best (imho). Thanks for sharing.

The time he went under the truck and got squashed was the only time they went beyond his death, the sergeant talked. He did not wake up immediately. This suggests that he is on a different timeline, not a repeated timeline. Meaning those he left behind continued on with their timeline.

The one thing I would've loved is just a few more seconds at the end, if Cruise would've said something to Blunt that would make her realize they had this adventure in the past. Leaving it at, Cruise chuckling at Blunt, who's baffled who the heck he is...well, I guess I'm not the director. Sigh.

Good choice in movies. And you are right, things would have been a whole lot simpler had they stuck the transponder in Tom Cruise's leg in the General's office. that would have clued the general in that the he needed to do an all out assault on the Louvre. But it would have lessened the heroics Cruise and Blunt would have been needed for and ruined of course the end of the movie. But EDGE OF TOMORROW is one of those films that really stirs your mind with all kinds of possibilities and evokes strong emotion. And as such these are the also the movies that are best for reaction videos. So people will likely be swamping you with requests for you to do their favorite movies, not caring what your reaction might be. Their only concern is that you like the same movies you like. And so you';; be hit with a ton of requests for romcoms and actioners. And if you fall into that trap sticking mainly to that demographic your popularity will grow to only maybe 20 or 30 K. If you want to get into the upper echelon, however, you need to do the movies that do evoke strong emotion or hit you with plot twists that seem to come out of nowhere. Great movie........Nice review. Have you seen The Princes Bride. A fun movie. I referred to Stan Lee for Marvel series......He was the creator of it. That's why he gets pointed out. For the respect.

I would have liked if the ending of the movie had a bigger more spectacular battle. With that said, my one complaint is that there was no need for Cage and Rita to recruit J-squad to come help them. Rita had an extensive following of soldiers and companions within her own unit to recruit, and they would have been more experienced, and better equipped. J squad just made for nice movie, but it is not consistent within the narrative.

You were spot on with the video game metaphor. The movie is from a book called All you need is kill. The premise was what if the dying and respawning mechanics in video games were real. The book/magna is amazing and makes the mimics scarier to me as they are just a terraforming program sent by a race before humans evolved on the planet… they aren’t evil and plotting they are a program and the day resetting tech was how they fixed glitches when the terraforming failed. Anywho, the manga is actually a good read, same basic premise but a different ending because both of them can reset the day, not just the boy.

You have a great laugh and it's good to watch your reactions but I think there is a line that gets crossed with reaction videos, especially at about this time. When you start on this journey you have genuine reactions, your paying attention to the movie and we can see it in your face and videos. Then you pass that line and it's too much talking, too much exposition about the movie and it becomes more difficult to watch. I can understand how it happens, your excited about doing this with people, but it tends to become more about entertainment and it all seems so staged. Some thoughts are great but every thought that comes to your mind, not so much. This is meant to be constructive, take it how you will, but I do want to keep watching your videos, I enjoy them. Stay genuine.
