1.) Welcome to the world of Movie Reactions! 2.) Don't rely on one source for lists of movies! Look some of them up, look them over and even Make Your Own! [Please note that at times those lists will change! What was #1 this year on what ever list, may not be #1 next year!] 3.) It's long and hard - sitting there for 2 or 3 and sometimes almost 4 hours at a time. 4.) Try to take in everything presented by the movie, the environment within the scenes/movie(s), the music will tell you a lot! What the characters say and do too... Become one with the movie! lol 5.) "Movie Reactions" is just that! What we want is "Your Reactions, your emotions, and your thoughts/perspectives of things." Like here[20:38]: You said: "Oh shhh! NO" and cringed when you figured out that the car was going to explode! VERY GOOD! When I say thoughts/perspectives on things - that doesn't necessarily mean 'immediate' as you can keep some of that for the end as immediate 'thoughts'/'feedback' isn't necessary! Some of thee greatest reactions have very few words. You're "job" is to connect us to the movie you're watching through your reactions. With tears, anger, hatred, frustration, gestures, etc. Never forget that this is your channel, you do what you want and/or need and/or feel you should do! Another thing - depending upon when a movie was published - you may find that you don't agree with what's presented... For instance: American Slavery - was a 'thing' up till the 1860's or so... IF there was a movie about it made pre 1860 - then try to "accept it as a norm" for that time; that is NOT to say that it's acceptable and never should be! But there shouldn't be a 'constant feedback about it' as 'we' your audience know about it. A great series about slavery came out in the mid 1970's called: Roots. Albeit there was controversy about it but still - it is one of thee greatest movies about it as it puts you into the position of "Kunta Kinte" an Afro-American slave like never before, nor after. It was Thee First look into what it (supposedly) was to be a slave. Another instance is 'women staying at home being home makers' - pre 1960's it was acceptable by many and expected of others. OH! I would also say that start from the bottom and work your way up the lists to the #1's so to speak. With them - you'll find that they don't seem as long as they are, you would be wishing there was more... Etc. OH yes, extended editions are generally the ones you want to watch; but you can also make that decision on your own or leave it to your supporters. The other in which you watch 'series' of movies can be a big thing - especially like Star Wars!

Part II is a dual story of Michael after he moves the family to Nevada, and the origin story of his father Vito. Equally epic and worth the time. Part III is often maligned by Godfather fans - partly because of a few poor casting decisions - but it is worth it to see Michael later in his life as the mob boss.
@bopep1368
@bopep1368 10 ай бұрын
if I might add to your comment-part 2 shows what a dirtball Michael is and 3 shows he finally has some reflections and remorse for some of his bad acts and then suffers some of the same grief he has put on other people.

In IMDb's list of the 100 greatest movies of all time, The Godfather is listed as #1. To go from the School of Rock to the greatest movie of all time was quite a jump! The Godfather II is fantastic as well. On a musical note, I am really looking forward to you continuing your Led zeppelin journey, and hopefully at some point, beginning a Beatles journey as well. Peace

Sterling Hayden got to play one of the best death scenes ever put to film in The Godfather, culminating an impressive list of roles in several remarkable films prior -- The Asphalt Jungle (1950), Johnny Guitar (1954), The Killing (1956), Terror in a Texas Town (1958), Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964).

The man at the hospital, "Enzo, the baker" is a callback to the wedding scenes where the baker who made the wedding cake asks Don Vito to help with US Immigration to allow his assistant, Enzo, to stay in the US after the War and marry the baker's daughter. The man at the hospital is the assistant whom Don Vito helped.

From School of Rock to The Godfather an ambitious upgrade Verdy. This is a fantastic movie but what is even more impressive is in my opinion the sequel is even better. Godfather II is now a must for you Verdy. If your taste in classic movies rivals your musical ear, watching movies with you could be quite entertaining

Great reaction Verdy. Part II was nominated for 11 academy awards, and won 6, including best picture. Part III was nominated for 7 awards, but failed to win any. Although part III is not as good as I and II (and many fans didn't like it), it's still good and closes the saga of The Godfather.

The cat that Don Corleone is petting at the beginning of the movie actually just wandered into the set and jumped up on Marlon Brando's lap. Francis Ford Coppola decided to leave the scene in the movie to show Don Corleone's compassionate side.

From what I understand from past comments from other reactions that cat at the beginning that is in Don Corleone's lap is actually a real life stray that just happened on the set while making the movie, it had nothing to do with the movie it just showed up. Cat lovers left the cat right where it was in the movie.

I love how Verdy, covers her eyes when the violence happens. It's hard for someone so innocent to believe this is how the mob operated and still does to a lesser degree. I was just slightly older than her when I saw The Godfather for the first time. I had the same reaction, but my eyes were open. I hope Verdy gets around to watching Casino, and Goodfellas. Martin Scorsese's soundtrack alone is worth the watch.

For those who don' t the Sicilian Mafia, also known as, Cosa Nostra started around the 1850s in rural Sicily. After the colapse of the Borbonic Regime and the ensuing lawlessness the wealthy Landowners who administered the Nobility' s fiefdoms on their behalf started to hire local bandits to protect their estates and properties. Eventually, these hired Goons started to extort the Landowners as well as carry out stagecouch robberies, stealing livestock and Assassinate any problematic individuals. They moved into the Citruse buisness, then into the cities and spread into small rural towns effectivly supplanting the real authority of the State.

The Borbnonic Regime kicked you in the nutsack. Dont speak names you cant defend. You spoke about The Spanish not about the people you claim to represent. That is grounds for a green light buddy. Keep being a keyboard warrior. Dont spit names you can't represent or defend. This is your warning in life. Next time may not be so nice. Alessio

Fun fact. The men carrying Marlon Brando up the stairs were Grips (electricians working on the crew who volunteered to act as orderlies and be on camera.) One of them made a crack about how heavy Brando was so Brando had the crew load the stretcher up with weights to get back at them. Apparently Brando had a good sense of humor.

Another Fun Fact: Upon reviewing one will notice that Oranges or the color orange is prominent in any scene with violence or DEATH. They are on the table before the horsehead scene. Brando is buying them when he is shot. Brando is eating an orange when he dies. Oranges and the color orange can be found in other scenes with violence and death.

I think on the very small shelf where you would keep the greatest films ever made, I think you would put this film next to The Godfather Part 2, Vertigo, Schindler's List, Casablanca, The Shawshank Redemption, and Citizen Kane. Where Citizen Kane is really the only film that seems to be outdated today.
