Last year I worked on a western movie in Montana and Gabriel Byrne was one the leads. My 3rd day there the transpo lady threw me a set of keys and asked if I could take Gabriel Byrne into town so he could get groceries, of course I said yes. We went into this small town and hardly spoke, a little about the weather, I brought him back to his place and the other PA came to get me. I knocked on Gabriel's door and said, "Alright Mr Byrne I'm taking off". He said "Ok Red it's nice to meet u and I'll see u on set", I said "yeah, I almost called y Keyser Soze earlier". He started laughing and the next day he asked the producers if I can drive him to set everyday, he was such a professional and a kind man, wrote me a letter of recommendation after the production.

Dude, that letter thing doesn’t happen in this biz. And it especially doesn’t happen from that chain link talent->P.A./driver. Pretty rare. But, drivers and PAs have the most contact with the most of the company and the good ones are great to have to work with. Basically this story you told tells of two professionals.

I remember renting this back in the day (back when you went to Blockbuster) and I asked the guy at the desk about the movie. He responded, "it's a good movie, do you care if I spoil it?" and I told him, no I don't care, because I didn't know anything about it. His response was "they get the gold at the end", I was so focused on where the hell the gold was that they get that I was completely blindsided by the ending. It was probably one of the most enjoyable movie experiences of all time for me. I now always respond with "they get the gold at the end" whenever someone asks me about spoilers on a movie.

that's actually how I figured out who Soze was. When the property clerk is giving him back his items he says "1 lighter, Gold" and I remembered that Soze had a gold lighter on the boat

I've commented on his reaction before but he's really good at this. He saves his comments for the end. He edits; he doesn't talk over dialogue or interrupt every 3 seconds to tell you how his aunt Mable had a cat named Muffy who reminds him of a cat in the movie. He's good.

I saw this movie as a little kid and my mind was blown. As soon as my family turned it off and switched on the TV, the news said Princess Diana was in a car crash and died, and my mind got blown again. Now I can't ever think of this movie without thinking of Princess Diana dying.

Hey Bro. Speaking of 'only Kevin Spacey could'. He WAS well known to those of us of a certain age who watched an excellent undercover pig tv show called 'Wiseguy' in the 80's. He left his unique mark on that show playin an insane, incestuous dopefiend murdering criminal mastermind international arms dealer named Mel Profitt. But yeah, that foot & hand straightening out reveal leaves ery single reactor I've watched with blown minds. Me too, repeatedly. Nice commentary.

Amazing movie. Dude I know this is a great twist, but in 95 when this movie was out it was mind boggling. My friends & I just wandered into this movie one day when I was 19, we had no idea what the movie was about or who was in it. The 6 of us were speechless at the end. Just shocked. Great review. Loved your reaction. So many reactors talk too much, talk over the movie, yell out every thought they have. You were a pleasure to watch. Subbed..

It is fun to see if reactors start catching on. I actually did catch most of the inconsistencies...but just thought they were minor errors on the writer's part. But each and every inconsistency revealed something. So I caught the hints but never put them together. Brilliant movie. I think the guy who plays "Kobayashi" is the best actor in the movie, and he has competition. Want a similar kind of movie? Watch the Spanish Prisoner. Just as good. And Steve Martin plays (very well I might add) a non-comedic role.

You liked the movie, rightfully, but you wish you watched it in 96. When nobody knew who Spacey was. The twist was THE mind-fuck of the year, movie-wise. The movie is a classic. And that end, again... the first time, I was bothered by the fact that all we'd watched for two hours was made up shit... except I was watching a movie, fiction, made up shit... that was very interesting to explore, as a kid.

"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist." Fun Fact: The line-up scene was scripted as a serious scene, but after a full day of filming takes where the actors couldn't keep a straight face, director Bryan Singer decided to use the funniest takes. King Blabbermouth Fact: In an interview, Kevin Spacey revealed that Bryan Singer managed to convince every one of the major actors that they were Keyser Soze. When first screened for the company of actors, Gabriel Byrne was so stunned when he found that he wasn't Keyser Soze that he stormed off into the parking lot and argued with Singer for a half hour. Slight Of Hand Fact: Pay close attention to the scenes during and leading up to the line-up at the beginning of the film. Verbal is either not shown or is shown in the background being completely silent during these scenes, hinting that he most likely wasn't actually present in this portion of the story. He is not shown getting arrested to go to the lineup. He is not shown getting interrogated by the police. He is not shown having the conversation with the rest of the men in the holding cell until he is abruptly introduced. The only part of these flashbacks where Verbal is seen the entire time is during the actual line-up scene, when he is asked to repeat the same line as the other criminals.
