Actually, Robert Downey Jr. DID get nominated for an Oscar for this performance (Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role). But Heath Ledger took home that award posthumously, for his penultimate performance as The Joker, in _The Dark Knight._ RDJ and Tom Cruise also got nominations for the same award in the Golden Globes (Ledger also took that one). It also was the Critics Choice winner for Best Comedy though (and honestly, I think it's possibly the best comedy movie of the 21st century, so this was entirely deserved). Absolute classic...everything about it was just perfect.

@@CJmidnightreactions fun thing during the speech to introduce one of the categories Hugh Jackman actually joked about RDJ playing an Australian playing a black man and getting nominated yet he on Australian playing an Australian in a movie about Australia didn't get a nomination.

Also, the look on Matthew McConaughey's face is actual shocked because he did not know that Tom was going to go nuts as he did because the script all it said was "Les freaks out"

There were some of us that knew that it was a movie within a movie. Then we saw the satire as the film went on. This movie was quite an experience in theaters and I remember every minute of it

Thanks for the reaction. Happy you enjoyed it. The fake trailers at the beginning are hilarious. This movie has so many great scenes. Robert Downey was good, but it's Tom Cruise who really killed it. Think of the man you want, but this was probably his most entertaining role in a movie ever.

Love this movie! I know it gets a lot of flack for its controversial humor, but that's the whole point. Hollywood and it's people are so morally bankrupt that the stuff they do in the movie is reasonable to them.

I don't want to be a troll or anything, but I see your reaction video beeing out of focus, and the original video you are reacting to is at around 7 frames per second...
