If you like good food you clicked on the right video!
We were extremely lucky to have the guys from Coral Coast Barramundi let us catch a couple of fish from their stock ponds and put them to the test on the plate! As always Benny weaved his magic in the kitchen and BOOM, job done!
Check out Coral Coast Barramundi here-
www.coralcoast...
(This is not paid advertising, I think what these guys are doing is bloody epic!).
Rod used- Zenaq Snipe S72XX (prototype).
www.zenaq.com/...
We have a bunch more videos coming from this trip including one more of Bennys epic Catch n Cooks. Stay tuned..
Cheers legends, Brooksy.

If you're a fatty like me and on a strict diet, then you watch the Cook and Eat part first by using the technological wonders of fast- forwarding the Video! Not that you don't have a point but that's how I watched it! I am permanently hungry and on diet and still remain a fat bastard.

Looks like fun.... I use to manage an indoor intensive barra farm in Adelaide and every now and then I would pull a few fish out and put them in an empty tank. You could catch one on a lure first cast but never again despite lure changes ...damn frustrating I tell you.

I wish this was how salmon farming was done on the west coast of the US and Canada. Our farmed salmon is probably where a lot the anti-fish farm sentiment is coming from. The feed is full of antibiotics and they actually add food dye to give the salmon meat the proper orange color. Maybe some day our farms will catch up to the ones in Australia.

I think you need to check your data? 900,000 tonnes of fish per year is 36,000 semi trailers (25 tonne per semi trailer) full or about 100 semi traliers per day, every day!!! That seems a bit high to me????

Seems like they could make a bit of extra coin letting people pay to cast there, and pay for the fish they catch by the market price. Would people do that? How much would it take to make it worth the extra operating costs? Must be something that is a roadblock or they probably would do it already.

@JonnyBrooksFishing
@JonnyBrooksFishing 4 жыл бұрын
No bias here what so ever. Wasn’t paid or anything to make a promo video. I just believe it’s much better than commercial fishing. East coast river systems would be incredible without netting and the Fitzroy is testimate to that. After all it’s just my opinion. I’m sure many other rec anglers would agree and would love to be able to sample how good the fishing was before netting.
@HUNTINGNT375
@HUNTINGNT375 4 жыл бұрын
Brooksy if you didn’t realise mate there’s probably just as many fish in there as normal when you’re casting that Luehring to how many thousand fish you were hooking up there’s places in the Northern Territory where commercial fishing has been going on for over 50 years and it’s a cast of fish which is least over 80 cm there’s only 13 netting license left in the Northern Territory I understand it seems bad but I’ve also seen what happens when the netting disappear The fish have now over 50 years learnt to adapt and now you take that away there is no food for That amount of fish Thousands of fish die when no one is fishing that river now and it doesn’t just happen with a few fish all the fish become weak because there’s no food then the sharks and the crocodiles eat nearly everything and that creep becomes a dead creek system
@HUNTINGNT375
@HUNTINGNT375 4 жыл бұрын
Brooksy Might be different in Queensland but up here in the Northern Territory we have huge amounts of predators That’s why the government is slowly taking the losses out your move more that once you will kill the river system needs to be eased off slowly
@dannynoy8967

@JonnyBrooksFishing
@JonnyBrooksFishing 4 жыл бұрын
Haha just something different mate. The purpose of this video wasn’t about actually catching the fish. It’s about the alternative to commercial netting that is destroying river systems
