Don't explain why you kept what you caught, or what you did with it. You'll were within legal limits, you fed your village, and you'll had a grand great time doing it. If people complain it's probably because they're jealous you'll caught more fish than they've ever caught, and you'll made it look easy and enjoyable. Great Job Vic & Brook! Thank you for sharing this experience with the world. I will be giving Tanner a shout out this summer. ❤

Try using vodka in your batter. Makes it super crispy and you can layer the batter over top amd make those little batter crispies like Long John Silvers was famous for

Vic and Brooke you are shepherds of the sea. From cleaning up after Boca Bash to feeding family that is what the bounty god gives us is for. NOW Grouper sammies are the absolute best! Fresh like that there is no finer eating except maybe the Mangrove snappers and possibly the yellow tails or even those Key West grunts. But those of us that fish and eat it know what I'm saying.

I thought it was best if hooking live bait in the mouth you should do it top lip so the bait can breathe easier due to bottom lip is more hinged? I rarely get the opportunity to live bait but I always top lip hook it.

Crazy you guys have to measure your groupers. In Hawai'i, it is encouraged to kill them, seeing they are invasive. We got the dark black groupers with spots out here.
