All I can say is take your time and enjoy it. We are having a blast and riding all over the place. Definitely get some protective gear. Please let me know how you’re doing with it.

Another way to learn is picking a field of grass with semi long grass and just force it and not be to scared as the wheel will only get slightly dirty and risk no damage so just bail as you feel like falling. I learned without holding anything in under 3 hours I went on the bike path and it clicked , a few hundred km later now I can ride really well.. In another 1000 km I will be a proficient rider. Just remember to respect traffic always and have a blast folks! :) The wobble happens because of body stiffness, nervousness because it is so very challenging and different at first. :) At around the 150/250 km mark you will be adjusting ballance contra wind and surface naturally, and in a few km more you will be using these things as easily as walking your own legs. Different vehicles got slightly different driving mechanics, some wheels dont like to be grabbed to hard as other want you to dig in the ankles. I remember the first few days, I sweated and got sore... it was a workout and I was tensing up way more then actually needed... then a few weeks later my 9 year old nephew got to try learning, just led him with my hand in under one hour he could mount and drive and dismount - with a few droppings of my wheel but still... kids dont have all these indoctrinated fears we adult folks have, much of the learning difficulty comes down to psychology.

Yo guys, seems like you have forgotten to pump the suspension up with air. Looks like the wheel just collapses when you stand on it. Also, helmets are cool, i promise ;)

We did pump them up to 100 lbs now. And we did get some protection for sure. 👍. Just having a blast riding the monsters. Do you ride?

@@Bunkysworkshop Sure do, but had a break for a year now. I’ll be receiving a V11 next week which I’m obviously very pumped for :) Good luck in your learning stage, make sure to upload again once you’ve made some progress ;)

Early on you want to practice stepping on and off the wheel. Remember to push forward when you step on. Because like a bike, you can't just put your feet on the pedals while standing still, you tip over sideways. So you have to push forward and step on to get some momentum. Learning to step on and step off will prevent you from dropping the wheel and soon you'll have better balance than you would using the fence as a crutch

Gear up Bunky: full helmet, wrist guards, knee guards, wrist guards - these are the absolute minimum for a V11 owner.

You have to have some sense of balance to be able to let go of the fear!

That’s true but it all comes together with practice. I’ve noticed that the more you relax the better you ride. Look forward at where your going and not down at the ground. Lots of fun for sure.

You need protection. Just because you are slow moving doesn't mean you can't get hurt. I was going slow, turning and was flat hitting my head. Without helmet... BTW. I did more than 600 miles on EUC.
@Bunkysworkshop
@Bunkysworkshop 2 жыл бұрын
I agree about the protection for sure and got it and use it. Lol 😂. A couple of falls later but it’s on now. I don’t know how many miles I have on it but these things are so much fun. Getting on and of is easy now and it just happens without even thinking about anymore. How are you doing with yours?

@@Bunkysworkshop it is great. I strongly recommend going to some trails for mountain biking (not jumps). It is teaching much better wheel control vs. smooth sidewalk. So, in case you will hit some random pothole your body will respond to it vs. panic 😁.

@@Bunkysworkshop I actually was already cruzing on my EUC going 25 mph and was supper confident. Then i went on a trail and small stone, stick... I was on the ground. Now, I'm actually enjoying trail riding more than just cruzing on 5he flat surfaces. More technical, involving etc.

Practice on an empty tennis court, it's got a softer surface but still stiff enough to be comfortable riding

It says ‘you plonkers’! V11 is not the best to learn on as it’s too fragile for drops. If you must then I’d do it on the grass :-)

@@Bunkysworkshop I’ve done around 800km on my so far. Also nothing bad to report aside from some squeaking like an old spring mattress while riding. Had suspension pumped up for the first time yesterday - gone down but only slightly. I’ve heard of a lot of board failures on the v11 however. Trying to be careful with mine.
