First Waterless Car Wash - Is it Legit or a Gimmick?

This is my first time doing a waterless car wash on my 2023 Acura Integra A-Spec that was recommended by a commenter.
I was first skeptical about using waterless wash products on my car but after the recommendation and Chemical Guys, I decided to use it for the first time to see if it actually works o if it's a gimmick

Your technique is all wrong here, albeit technique with the waterless and rinseless washes is something you learn over time while using it because it’s way different then your average techniques for washing a car. Firstly don’t do multiple panels at a time specially on a darker color car like yours because the spray will evaporate quickly on hot panels. Also you really don’t have to wait long you can go straight into wiping but I spotted another issue it seemed as if you were putting a lot of pressure on the towels that’s a major Nono if so. Also you want to use one side of the towel per panel and go side to side starting from the top so your not wiping the top clean part after picking up dirt from the bottom onto your towel. That’s why you start at top where it’s cleanest and go side to side. The key is to use a clean side of the towel any time you see dirt in it. Some guys use a technique of kinda spinning the towel as they wipe with it so that the dirt goes into every part of the towel other wise it just gets dirty on one area of the towel.

Really what’s most important with waterless is that your not getting your towel dirty then using that dirty portion to wipe clean areas. That will surely induce some micro marring or micro scratches specially on dark paint where it’s easier to see. Albeit it’s not going to be like super visible scratches if it does happen but when you hit it with a good light you can see what I’m talking about on cars that haven’t been cleaned using a good technique.

If you have any questions lmk I’ve switched to using absolute rinseless almost exclusively now due to how well it works with a good technique. Rinseless is very similar to waterless but the cool thing about rinseless is you have the option to mix it up as a rinseless mix or a waterless mix. I think rinseless works better because I use a special sponge that lifts the dirt really well and then use a scrubbing grid in my bucket to release the dirt vs using microfibers but you can use microfibers too but it’s best to have atleast about 8 to 10 microfibers because you will soak five then use five to dry.

@AaronsHobbyLobby I really appreciate your feedback. Yeah this is my first time using this product. Far from perfect with my technique, especially the drying part but I can definitely see what you mean to just apply and do a brand new cleaning microfiber towel immediately after Which brand did you use for the rinseless solution? Do you prefer the sponge over the towel?
