Hey, Not sure if you had an Acura before this one but in the vehicle settings while parked you need to change the preferred dynamic mode to keep the settings. Let me know if this helps.

The knocking in engine is a lie people claim, I guarantee it won’t. I own one too and my brother owns a mazda with 2.0L turbo and uses regular octane 80% of the time, is still running past 127,000 km no issues. If honda sales rep tells you 87 will run the engine fine, then generally they know what they’re talking about. And the knocking generally means the engine is adapting to lower octane, it doesn’t mean it’s struggling to process the lower grade. The reason people may claim to hear knocking with regular octane is because they tend to over push the engine after filling with 87. It’s simple don’t be idiotic. Not my first turbo car, if you plan on topping 87 octane drive the car accordingly. Longer trip’s would definitely better from a higher octane level!
@foureyeddriver14 күн бұрын
It's true it won't knock. If you take care of the car, the car will take care of you. Since I have an updated ECU tuner on mine, I'll most likely do 93/91 and 89 when it gets colder maybe.
@RetroKingOG14 күн бұрын
The reason people complain is because majority of owners will fill with regular octane then push the accelerator too hard, which makes the engine overwork for a lower octane. The sales rep told me general city driving and occasional highway trips would be fine with 87 octane. For me any way I’ll probably alternate every few fillups

great video! I was looking forward to this. You plan on running stock or you gonna get parts to work around the higher maps?
@foureyeddriver15 күн бұрын
Great question. I will be going through each map that my car can handle stock, which is the first two, then I'll see which parts I can get in order to handle the 3rd map. Doing the 3rd map stock is pretty risky, after reading the forums so I'll br playing safe in stock for now.

I know in the CVTs there is a S option in the gear shifter. If you turn that to S instead of D, and put the dynamic mode in Sport mode, does that make the car go manual where you can use your paddle shifters?
@foureyeddriverАй бұрын
You're able to shift in S mode and have that "manual" feel using paddle shifters. You can also do it without the paddle as well. That's the beauty of a CVT vehicle.

It's all good. I was nervous as well to learn. With the auto rev match, it will electronically match the rpms for you when you downshift for this car. That will make things easier to operate a manual car.
